VICKNAIR
From page 1B
“It was fun cause you were
hanging out and there was a
disco we went to every night,”
Vicknair said. “It was wild
because of the music. They
have a lot to do over there.
“My friend Mike lives in
Pittsburgh,” Vicknair said,
talking about a new friend he
made.
“We like some of the same
things, and we both play
defense.”
Vicknair really enjoyed him
self, and if given the chance
may go again.
“I think I’m playing football
for a little bit,” Vicknair said.
“I am going to try out for foot
ball for once and it doesn’t mat
ter what position. I’ll probably
keep playing soccer, that way I
have a better chance of getting
a contract.”
If Vicknair does go back, it
will be because he wishes to
play professional soccer one
day.
Til probably keep
playing soccer, that
way I have a better
chance of getting a
contract.'

Former Winston Cup driver
Ernie Irvan recently joined the
organization as partner with
Walton.
“We haven’t even really made
the announcement,” said
Walton. “A lot of fans came to
see him (when we raced at
Hickory). They really like him.
He really likes our guys. He’s
excited about being involved.”
So much so, Walton said
Irvan’s agent is working on a
deal called “barnstorming rac

The details are not all worked

but other Winston Cup drivers
