Institute prepares automotive experts

exactly is the NASCAR
Technical Institute?
Mooresville, North Carolina,
affectionately referred to as
Race City, has been the home of
the NTI since July 1, 2002.
Expanding 146,000 square
feet and training, according to
their website, “as many as
1,900” engineering and automo
tive students everyday, the sl2
million facility is an extension
of NASCAR’s Automotive
Aftermarket program.
NASCAR First announced
they were teaming up with the
Universal Technical Institute in
late May 1999.
According to their mission
statement, the goal of the pro
gram is to “address the growing
need for technicians in the auto
motive industry.”
According to an official
release, students at NTI are

Inc., the nation’s leading provider
of automotive technical training.
