WARREN R. BLACK
WARNER ROBINS - Warren R. Black of 306 ,
S. Briarcliff Road, Warner Robins, passed away
on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Portsbridge
Hospice in Macon. All services will be private.
Memorials may be given to the Warren R. Black
Fund at 306 S. Briarcliff Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Born in Enterprise, Ala., Black was a Golden Glove State
Boxing Champion. He was a four-year veteran of the U.S.
Navy and fought in World War 11. He was retired from civil
service at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as a
parachute foreman. He was a member of the Martha Berry
Eastern Star and a Mason. He was also a member of Trinity
United Methodist Church and was a deacon emeritus with
Shirley Hills Baptist Church. His wife, Donna E. Black, and
daughter, Deborah Walls, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his two daughters, Faye Black of
Warner Robins and Ann Long of Warner Robins; sister,
Hazel McLogin of California; seven grandchildren; and
eight great-grandchildren.

EVELYN KENNON CHAPMAN
PERRY - Evelyn Kennon Chapman, 90, died on Friday,
Oct. 3, 2003, at a local nursing home. Funeral Services will
be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Watson-Hunt Chapel, with
interment at 3:30 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The
family suggests contributions to the Perry United
Methodist Church or Epworth By The Sea.
Chapman was the daughter of George and Mervin Kelly
Kennon and had lived in Perry for the past six years moving
from Albany. A graduate of Georgia State College for
Women, she was a retired school teacher with the
Dougherty County System for 31 years and a member of the
Perry United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Leon C. Chapman.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Blackstock of
Boise, Idaho, and Charlotte Washington of Perry; brother,
George Kennon of Thomasville; grandchildren, Karl
Blackstock, Sonia Tonnemaker, Jill Ferguson, David, Philip,
and Richard Washington; and seven great-grandchildren.

JANET MARIE DEFORE
KATHLEEN - Janet Marie DeFore, 49, of Marietta, died
Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday,
Oct. 4 (TODAY), at Kathleen First Baptist Church with the
Revs. Philip Lehman and Ed Siddle officiating.
Entombment will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. The
family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mayes
Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta and 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins.
Contributions may be made to Georgia Baptist Children’s
Home, P O. Box 329, Palmetto, GA 30268.
Born in Beaufort, S.C., DeFore lived in Marietta for the
past 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Kathleen. She was employed by the federal gov
ernment as a human resources specialist for 25 years. She
was a graduate of Georgia Southwestern College, where she
received her master’s degree in English.
Survivors include her husband, Michael James Hausman
of Marietta; her mother, Annie E. DeFore of Kathleen; one
sister, Susie Spengler of Warner Robins; two brothers,
Jimmy DeFore of Kathleen, and Kenny DeFore of Warner
Robins; nieces and nephews.

MARTIN H. FOLEY
WARNER ROBINS - Martin H. Foley, 76,
passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003.
Services will be private. Donations may be
made to the American Lung Association, 2788
Riverside Drive, Macon, GA 31204.
Foley was born in San Francisco, Calif., to the late Cyrus
Tie and Sadie Foley. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served
during World War II and received an honorable discharge.
He was a retired pilot from Zantop International Airlines
Inc., and he had also flown for Hawaiian Air, Southern,
Capitol, Universal, and American Flyers Airlines.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Carmack Foley of
Tennessee, and daughter, Cristina Foley of Lilburn.

DAVID M. GILES
WARNER ROBINS - David M. Giles, 37,
passed away in Chicago, 111. Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003
(TODAY), in the chapel of Heritage Memorial
Funeral Home, with burial in Parkway
Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 7
until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Giles was born in Houston County, and was
a 1984 graduate of Northside High School. He attended
Georgia Southern University and Middle Georgia Technical
College. His career as a cellular Field engineer allowed him
to travel the world extensively. He was a member of the
Westside Baptist Church and a member of Demolay.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James
M.(Lucy) Giles of Warner Robins; sisters, Vicky (Larry)
Sykes of Forest City, N.C., and Debbie (Danny) Willard of
Macon; three nephews; one niece and one great-nephew.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrange
ments.
CMSGT. GREGORY A. KEBIL, USAF (RET.)
~ KATHLEEN - CMSgt. Gregory
A. Kebil, USAF (Ret.), passed away
on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at the
Houston Medical Center. Memorial
services will be held at 10 a.m.
Monday, Oct. 6, at the chapel of McCullough
Funeral Home. Interment will follow with full
military funeral honors at Andersonville
National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at McCullough Funeral Home. In addition memori
al service will be held in Littlestown, Pa. (further details to
be announced). In lieu of flowers the family is requesting
that checks be made out to John M. Kebil (8-year-old son)
for “deposit only.”
CMSgt. Kebil was born on May 29, 1957, in Pennsylvania,
to Bernard and Beverly Kebil. Gregory graduated from
Littlestown High School, Pa., in 1975. In 1975, he joined the
Air Force and served his country until 2003, he retired at
Robins Air Force Base after 28 years. *

Gregory married Thelma in 1991 in Clark Air Force Base,
Philippines. He liked motorcycles (Harley Davidson Cycles),
model trains, and was an avid fan of NASCAR. He is sur
vived by his wife, Thelma of Warner Robins; son, John of
Warner Robins; brother, Christopher, and his wife, Carol of
McSherrystown, Pa.; parents, Bernard and Beverly Kebil of
Littlestown, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Olive “Polly”
Hansford of Littlestown, Pa.
He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.

WARNER ROBINS - Gladys P Snow passed away on
Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at home. Services are incomplete

Snow was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. She
was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in
Westbrook, Maine, and a member of Hollinger’s Island
Eastern Star, Mobile, Ala. She had been a homemaker and
was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Snow.
Survivors include her daughter, Audrey J. Unterreiner of
Colbert, Okla.; and two sons, Richard R. Snow (and wife
Nancy) of Eustis, Fla.; L. Raymond Snow, (and wife Doris)
of Warner Robins; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchil
dren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

JERRY T. WILSON
PERRY - Jerry T. Wilson, 61, died at his residence on
Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003. Memorial Services will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday (TODAY) at the St. Christopher’s
Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends at the res
idence. The family suggests contributions to the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall St., New York, NY
10005-4001, or Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westside
Drive, Warner Robins.
Wilson, son of the late Sam And Eunice Scoggins Wilson,
was born in Perry and lived in Florida, Tennessee, and
Texas, before moving back to Perry in 1987. A 1960 gradu
ate of Perry High School, Wilson earned his bachelor’s
degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and his mas
ter’s of business administration from Georgia College.
Wilson was employed by Georgia Institute of Technology as
general manager of ATDC in Warner Robins. In addition,
Wilson was a Certified Economic Finance Professional. A
member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, he served as
senior warden. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack
Wilson and Jimmy Wilson and a sister, Margaret Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Faye M. Wilson; daughters,
Tamara W. Moody (Trey) of Perry, Jerri Lyn Miller (Todd) of
Duluth; son, Jeremy Wilson ( Shira) of Chicago; brothers,
Durward “Will” Wilson (Ann) of Fort Worth, Texas, Mark
“Bo” Wilson (Sara) of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren,
Brooks, Bryce and Tucker Moody; Bayne, Manning, Reide,
and Lofton Miller; a number of nieces and nephews. Jerry
will be missed by many friends.
