in columns next to you score
how many greens you hit in
regulation.
For a novice that means
you landed on the green in
one stroke on par 3s, two
strokes on pat 4s and three

I had a gentleman come in
for a lesson a few months ago.
He said he needed some
work on his full swing. After
we talked for a while he told
me that he averaged over
forty putts per round. This
number of putts is way too
high even for someone who
shoots around 100 for eight

Smoltz has arthroscopic surgery

Braves closer John Smoltz
had arthroscopic surgery
Tuesday to remove painful
scar tissue in his right
elbow.
It is the fourth time in his
career Smoltz, 36, has had
surgery on the elbow.
Smoltz missed almost one
month due to tendinitis in
the elbow late in the season,
and after his return he
pitched through obvious
pain in the Braves' division
series playoff loss to the
Chicago Cubs.
