Wife allededly attacks deputies

woman who became upset
when her husband was
taken into custody was her
self arrested early Saturday
after she reportedly
attacked authorities.

obstruction of an officer,
interference with govern
ment property, disorderly
conduct and public drunk
enness after she struck a
deputy in the head with a

day-to-day school opera
tions.
School health technicians
perform health related pro
cedures for students. Their
job duties include:
• assisting students in
taking their daily medica
tion;
• maintaining medication
records and documentation
regarding all health related
procedures or interventions;
• providing safe, effective
first aid response and treat
ment, including CPR, to
injured or ill students or
school staff personnel;
• responding to emer
gency situations and seeking
appropriate emergency med
ical assistance;
• monitoring school
absences to establish if there
is a medical problem inter
fering with attendance and
a need for school nurse
intervention; and
• performing vision and
hearing screening tests for
the students.

husband, Richard, was
taken into custody.
According to reports,
Richard Musgrove allegedly
left the scene of an accident
he was involved in at the
corner of Watson Boulevard
and Collins Avenue.
When deputies, assisting
Warner Robins police in
locating him, arrived at his
residence and placed him in
custody, Deputy Sgt. Sonya
Ward said in a report that
Debbie Musgrove became
irate and belligerent toward
deputies.
Ward said when she
attempted to explain to
Debbie Musgrove what was
going on, she tried to inter
fere with the arrest and

ple with the soda can.
Deputy Danny McLeod
rushed to her aid, only to
have Musgrove sink her
teeth into his arm.
According to reports, the
two fell to the ground, but
Musgrove did not relinquish
her bite until Deputy Ricky
Phifer helped pull her away.
After she was placed in a
patrol vehicle she proceeded
to try to kick the windows
out, said the report.
Deputy McLeod was treat
ed at a local emergency
room for the bite and trau
ma to his rib cage, it stated.

• The Perry Chamber of
Commerce Fall Challenge
begins with the Sporting Clay
Shoot at the Gamelands of
Henderson Village.
Registration and continental
breakfast begin at 8 a.m. with a
safety briefing and the shoot to
follow at 8:30 a.m. $25 buys a
round of 25, a goodie bag and a
ticket to the Taste of Perry.
Bring your own shotgun and
shells. Prizes will be awarded
for first, second and third place.
• The Fall Challenge contin
ues with the 6th Annual Golf
Scramble at Perry Country
Club. Registration is at noon,
with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Fees are $55 per player ($220
per team) and include greens
fees, cart, range balls, bottled
water, a goodie bag and a ticket
to the Taste of Perry. For $lO, a
player can purchase mulligans
for two holes and one red tee.
There will be a longest drive
contest and a chance to win a
car with a hole in one.
• Treats from a dozen local
food establishments will be
served at “Taste of Perry,” to be
held at the Perry Country Club
from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sponsored
by the Perry Area Chamber of
Commerce, the event will
include live music and door
prizes, along with the opportu
nity to sample local cuisine.

Department opens the firing
range to the public on the
fourth Saturday of each month.
The pistol range will be open
from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m.
to 5 p.m. The cost to shoot is $5.
Shooters must provide their
own ammunition, pistol, eye
and ear protection. Targets will
be provided. A State Certified
Firearms Instructor will be on
hand to assist shooters. For

• Sacred Heart School will
hold its Fall Festival from 9

Robins. This year’s festival fea

from Atlanta. Wristbands will

the wearer to unlimited rides
and attractions all day. In addi
tion, the school will have a cake
walk, bingo, silent auction, face
painting, cupcake decorating,
Granny’s Attic, a used toy sale,
a petting zoo, pony and
hayrides, a make-and-take craft
workshop, and a pumpkin
patch. There is no admission
