Habitat meets
WeHston folks
WARNER ROBINS -
Officials for the Houston
County affiliate of Habitat
for Humanity met Friday
evening with residents of
the Wellston Villas subdivi
sion to answer questions
about the organization’s
efforts to build five houses
in the area, using five lots
purchased from the city in a
land swap agreement.
John Sillers, executive
director of the Houston affil
iate, described Habitat’s
mission of home-building in
general and in Houston in
particular.
The group aims to finish
these five houses this year
and plans to build at least
six, eight and 10 houses in
2005, 2006 and 2007, respec
tively. ,
The presentation went
over well with the two resi
dents in attendance.

equals citizen benefit
WARNER ROBINS -
Rebuilding Together with
Christmas in April of
Warner Robins needs help.
The volunteer organization,
which does home repair for
elderly low-income and dis
abled citizens, has 60 proj
ects to be accomplished in
the city this year.
The majority of the work
is done by volunteer teams
from local churches and
businesses, as well as civic
and Robins Air Force Base
organizations.
We presently have 24
teams and could use that
many more. Projects gener
ally involve basic repairs
and modifications, which
