• The first annual Easter
Parade will begin at 10 a.m. in
the parking lot of Save-A-Lot
on North Houston Road and
end at Peavy Park on Johnson
Road. The parade will bring
the Easter Bunny to the sev
enth annual Easter In The
Park - a celebration of “Child
Safety Month in Houston
County” from 10 a.m until
1:30 p.m. Children can enjoy
games, prizes, face painting,
moonwalk and more! ' There
will be a Diaper Derby for
crawling babies and age
grouped egg hunts for toddlers
through ' 10-year-olds.
Information will be available on
community resources for assist
ing and maintaining the safety
and well-being of children and
their families.

BETTY BEARDSLEY _ _____
WARNER ROBINS - Esther Elizabeth “Betty" Beardsley,
66, died Sunday, April 4, ‘2004, in her home. A memorial
service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at the
Bonaire United Methodist Church chapel.
Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be
made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive,
Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Beardsley was born in Crowley, La., on March 17, 1938,
the daughter of the late Thomas Eugene and Elmira
Hundley Griffin. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant with
Hospice of Houston County. Beardsley was a member of the
U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Macon Motor Boat
Club. She was a member of Bonaire United Methodist
Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Beardsley Jr. of
Warner Robins; daughters and their husbands, Nancy Ann
and Timothy Kuo of Sterling, Va., and Kay and Mike Van
Der Heyden of Longwood, Fla.; grandchildren, Amy Kuo
and Brian Kuo of Sterling, Va., and Linda Van Der Heyden
of Longwood, Fla.; brother, Jim (Shirley) Griffin of Crowley,
La.; and sister, Virginia (Bill) Graves, Madison, Miss.

Saturday. Service will be held 11 a.m.

Survivors include his parents, Ulyses
and Dr. Donna Turner Kitchens; grand
parents, Calvin and Florence Turner;

WARNER ROBINS - Pearl Ray Paul of Warner Robins,
wife of the late Charlie C. Paul and daughter of the late
Mattie Lou Ray and W. T. Ray, went to be with Jesus on
April 5, 2004, at 1 a.m. Monday. Services will be held at 2
p.m. Wednesday, April 7 (TODAY), in the chapel of
McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at
Mugnolia Park Cemetery. Family received friends from 7
until 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at McCullough Funeral Home.
She leaves behind one daughter, JoAnn P Goodwin of
Goose Creek, S.C.; a sister, Lois
Buttrom of Lumber City; a brother, Frank Ray of
Kathleen; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren;
nieces, nephews and friends who loved her very much, and
will miss her terribly.
