Demons finish thrd at
Packs’tourney
Warner Robins High School's
golf team enjoyed a successful
weekend of golf in Moultrie and at
the Packer Invitational.
The team finished third out of
28 teams They garnered 305
total points one away from
second place Glynn Academy,
which had 304, and close to first
place finisher Savannah
Christian, which had 290.
Individually, Chris Wolfe shot a
1-under 71, which was good for
third. The Demons' Brad Harvey,
Johnny Pagura, Matt Forehand
and Bobby Gassman also had
good showings They shot 74,
77, 83 and 92, respectively.
Local Buldog CU) to
hold spring social
The Warner Robins Bulldog Club
will hold its spring social Apnl 29 at
the Museum of Aviation (Hangar
One). The cost is $25 with the
event slated to begin at 7 p.m. (Big
Dawg talk at 8 p.m.).

Bailey at The Furniture Gallery,
Jack Bryan of J. Bryan Jewelers or
call Paul Hibbitts at 922-9447.

Optimist for Kids
event set tor May
The fourth annual Optimist for
Kids golf scramble will be held May
21 at Houston Lake Country Club.
The event is slated to begin with a
1 p.m. shotgun start (lunch 11:30
a.m. -1 p.m.).
The entry fee is $75 per person
or S3OO per team, which includes
the entry fee, lunch, green fees,
prizes and more.
Sponsorships are also available
Gold sponsorship is SSOO. Hole
sponsorship is SSO. According to
their release, “all proceeds go to
benefit the youth in Houston

Sportsmen, are such
an easy mark.
Women know this.
Women are none too kind to
point this out. My wife, for
example, has diligently car
ried out her role when it
comes to giving the look for
at least several hundred
NASCAR collectibles.
What she and every
other woman in the world
doesn't know is we know
they know that we know
they know ... uh ... we don’t
care.
Now, as much as it
shames me to admit it, I’ve
come to realize maybe we
should.
I'm beginning to wonder
if we haven’t become so
easy that we’re not now
being viewed as somewhere
else on the spectrum stu
pid.
Case in point: Monday I
received a sample in the
mail.
I opened it and the first
thing I saw was the Braves
logo. I drooled ... instantly.
It could have been a tam

Center to start
marathon venue
From staff reports
The Warner Robins Jeff
Galloway Marathon
Training Program is slated
to start today at 6:30 p.m. at
the Fit & Firm Fitness
Center in Shaheen Plaza at
198 South Houston Lake
Road.
According to a release by
the group, the venue is open
to anyone interested in ful
filling a lifetime goal: to run
a marathon.
The training group
includes all levels, from
