The parade will bring the Easter
Bunny to the seventh annual
Easter In The Park - a celebra
tion of “Child Safety Month in
Houston County” from 10 a.m.
until 1:30 p.m. Children can
etyoy games, prizes, face paint
ing, moonwalk and more! There
will be a Diaper Derby for crawl
ing babies and age-grouped egg
hunts for toddlers through 10-
year-olds. Information will be
available on community
resources for assisting and main
taining the safety and
well-being of children and their
families.

• Robins Air Force Base's
Environmental Management
group will sponsor Bird
Watching with I)r. Bob, as part of
a series of Earth Day events.
Participants will visit a young
longleaf pine forest, hardwood
forests, fields, ponds, and wet
land habitats, and can expect to
see a variety of neotropical
migrants including warblers and
flycatchers, woodpeckers (red
heads, as well as herons and
egrets. Those who have base
access privileges are asked to
meet at Luna at 8 a.m.

then meet at the base Visitor's
Onter, near the Main Gate, at

LEE COUNTY - The pub
lic is invited to attend the
annual Spring Fly-in on
Saturday, April 24th from 9
a m. to 5 p.m. This event
will be held at the
Airmasters Model Airplane
Club (AMAC) flying field
located north of Albany on
Hwv. 32E in Lei- County,
just east of the Lee County
Public Works Dept
The club is expecting all
types of airplanes and heli
copters; pilots will be here

DOT restricts lane
closures this weekend
ATLANTA - In prepara
tion for the Easter weekend,
the Georgia DOT will
restrict construction-related
interstate lane closures.
These restrictions began
this morning and will last
until midnight Sunday.
“With many motorists’
spring break ending and the
Easter weekend approach
ing. we are expecting heavy
traffic and remind motorists
to plan enough time to safe
ly reach their destination,”
said Georgia DOT
Commissioner Harold
Linnenkohl.
