The trio was part of the
security team for BRAG,
looking out to help injured
riders or those with disabled
bikes and sometimes warn
ing the riders about their
riding habits.
Mathern said this year’s
BRAG began in the rolling
hills of north Georgia near
Toccoa Falls.
The first two days were
probably the toughest for
riders because of the moun
tainous terrain, but the
going got smoother as the
land flattened during the
ride to the sea at the coast,
the group’s destination.
Riders had rest stops set
up for them along the way
and towns along the route
showed wonderful hospitali
ty to the riders, Mathern
said.
Mathern said she and the
rest of the local team appre
ciate the support shown
them by the community for
their efforts to help a good
cause.
