WR man steals baggage
tractor at Hartsfield
The Associated Press
ATLANTA - An airline
passenger breached security
at one of the world’s busiest
airports early Wednesday,
stealing a baggage tractor
and driving it onto an active
runway, according to police.
Atlanta police say Robert
Walter Buzzell, 31, of
Warner Robins, walked
through an exit door which
had an alarm at Hartsfield-
Jackson Atlanta
International Airport, stole
the tractor and drove it from
a Delta tarmac into lanes of
air traffic wearing only a
pair of pajama bottoms.
He was stopped by a pair
of mechanics who asked him
for an employee identifica
tion card. When he could not
provide one, they escorted
him to an office and called
police.

Authorities, who took
Buzzell into custody at

Buzzell told Delta employ

security personnel were
around.
Airport officials say they
are working with police and
the airline to investigate the
case and determine if any
security changes need to be
made.
Buzzell, who had a ticket
for a domestic Delta flight,
was taken to nearby Clayton
