“Republican or Democrat, black or white,
rich or poor, rural or urban, I look forward
to serving all the people of Georgia,” he said.
The GOP continues to rule the Georgia

WARNER ROBINS - “We are ecstatic
with the win,” said Kelly Burke, who won
another four-year term as Houston
Circuit District Attorney.
“The voters spoke very clearly,” Burke
said Wednesday. “The negative campaign
style, the attacks - it doesn’t work.”
“It’s important to get out and say what
you did and what you’re going to do,”
Burke said.
He said he was pleased to see wins in
the south end of the county, “below
Mossy Creek.”
“That’s traditionally Democratic and
where my opponent is from,” he said. “To
win that, we are particularly pleased to
do as well.”
For his next term, Burke said, plans
will include fighting methamphetamine.
“It’s gonna be like crack was is the

He said his office will focus a lot of
effort on preventing distribution, avoid
ing addiction as it becomes more preva
lent and “doing all we can to treat those
who become addicted.”
Immediate plans, Burke said, are to put
