King was the first witness
called to testify for the gov
ernment’s case.
He began by relating the
relationship between the
Schliepsieks and his family.
He met Andy Schliepsiek
back in April and the two
quickly became friends.
King’s wife, Page, also
quickly befriended Jamie,
King said, and the two regu

During Monday’s City Council
meeting, three parcels of land were
annexed into the city from the coun
ty. All three now are zoned C-2.
The property owners requested
the annexation because Wal-Mart
has options to buy the parcels. In
fact, the discount retailer will wind
up owning all the property along
Booth Road, about 76 acres, except
for the city-owned industrial park.
A student at the Westfield
Schools, he is the grandson
of Nancy and Jimmy
Simpson of Kathleen, Frank
Shelton of Perry, and Teri
and Jerry Malone of
Gordon.
Local businesses and indi
viduals contributed a total
daughter, 3-year-old
Ramsey, who took to the
Schliepsieks very quickly.
King did not meet Witt,
another friend of
Schliepsiek, until July 3.
That evening, the two cou
ples were gathered at the
Kings’ on-base home on
Sergeants Drive when
Schliepsiek received a call
from Witt, who asked if he
could come over. King said
OK, but retired shortly after
Witt’s arrival, as he had a
headache.
Warner Robins Mayor Donald
Walker said it was good that Wal-
Mart tied all the parcels up because
the retailer would have control over
the design and building of future
commercial development along the
road.
Parcels annexed were Milton
Hirsch’s 37.80 acres, Ernest W.
Livingston’s 6.44 acres, and Hidden
Creek’s 26.05 acres owned by Mark
of $1,860 to sponsor him in
the rodeo.
Caleb wants to thank all
of his sponsors for their sup
port. He credits his dad with
getting him interested in the
rodeo, and says he will use
the saddle on his buckskin
quarter horse, Gypsy.
He only spent about 30
minutes in Witt’s company.
The next day, July 4, the
two couples gathered again
at the Kings in the after
noon, where they grilled ribs
and drank beers and
daiquiris, - celebrating
Independence Day.
Late that night, after Page
had gone to bed, Jamie
related how, the night
before, the Schliepsieks
went back to their home a
