The road from the inter

will open to traffic at 2 p.m.
Dedication ceremonies at
the intersection of Russell
Parkway and Houston Lake

Four-year-old hurt in accident

WARNER ROBINS -
Two-year-old Jordan
Kozloski seemed to be at
death’s door. She was losing
a great deal of blood, and
only a tiny sliver of bone
held her leg to her body.
“I be fine Daddy,” she
said.
The story began one
Saturday morning as the
Kozloski family was outside
gardening. Jordan and her
mother Sandy were leaving
the house to purchase flow
ers for their yard while
father Mike mowed the
lawn.
It was an accident.
Mike was in reverse gear
on the lawnmower, the only
way he could maneuver in
that area of the yard, and
Jordan suddenly ran up
behind her father, wanting a
ride.
Only he didn’t see her, and
neither Mike nor Jordan
could hear Sandy screaming

engine.
“He literally pulled the
lawnmower off of her,”
Sandy said.
Sandy Kozloski acted
quickly, using her training
as an LPN to apply pressure
to the wound, while Mike
placed a call to 911.
Mike rushed back to his
family bringing towels to
Sandy to control the bleed
ing, while he gave the 911
dispatcher directions to
their home.
The clock was ticking, and
an ambulance had not
arrived.
Mike ran to get Brian
Purcell, a neighbor who is
also a paramedic.
“He managed to call an
ambulance and stressed the
need to secure a crew
because Jordan needed oxy
gen and transport to a hos
pital,” Sandy said.
“She had went into shock
because of her blood loss,”
Purcell said, “and she had
already began throwing up,
one of the final stages before
the end.”
