Christmas Tree Round-Up
between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. in
front of the water tower on
Maple Street. Most will be
chipped into mulch and used to
keep our parks green and beau
tiful. Others will be deposited
in area lakes and streams to
improve the habitat of fish. As a
special bonus, you will receive a
free tree seedling for each tree
you bring on Jan. 8. Truckloads
are welcome. The Great
Christmas Tree Round-Up is
co-sponsored by Flint Energies
and Townsend Tree Service
Inc. and hosted by Keep Warner
Robins Beautiful. Jan. 8 the

Through Bethlehem, Middle
Georgia’s largest Christmas
event will be hosted by Shirley
Hills Baptist Church on Corder
Road. This year’s Walk is
expected to attract up to 12,000
visitors. Visitors tour a 2000-
square-foot recreation of
Bethlehem at the time of
Christ’s birth, with Roman
guards on patrol at the gates,
and over 100 actors in cos
tumes. There are a variety of
live animals (including camels).
The tour leads up to experience
of the shepherds being visited
by the Heavenly Host, and the
manger with Joseph, Mary and
the baby Jesus. Tours begin at
4 p.m. and continue through
the evening. There is no charge
and donations will not be
accepted. Groups with special
needs, such as those in wheel
chairs, should contact the
church office in advance.
Interpreters for the deaf are
also provided. For more infor
mation or to arrange for group
tours, call 923-5571.

with Santa workshop from 9:30

Georgia YSTC classroom and
Grades 3-5 will be held in the
STARBASE classroom. Both
