Gary Lynn DeLong, 1121
N. Houston Lake Road,
Warner Robins, was arrest
ed by a Bibb County deputy
for theft by receiving stolen
property on Dec. 27. He
reportedly told a deputy he
stole the money found on his
person - $2,558.79 - from a
doctor’s car. He was not
more specific and could not
provide the victim’s name.
The victim, a neighbor of
the suspect, confirmed he
had $2,500 in cash taken
from the console of his 1994
Trans Am between Dec. 21
and 24 at an unknown loca
tion. DeLong was turned
over to Houston County for
prosecution.

Dec. 27. A Hunt Road home
was broken into and tools
and a heater were taken. A
window was smashed with a
board to get inside.
At a Feagin Mill Road
warehouse, a trailer full of
tools was taken after a pad
lock was cut on the ware
house door. Items taken
include a power washer, gen
erator, tarps and a squeegee.
A city of Warner Robins
Utility Department backhoe
was driven off from a site at
Old Perry and Oglethorpe
roads. Tire tracks were
observed from the field to
the road.
Also Dec. 27, person(s)
unknown took a weight
bench from a Pinedale Drive
Home, but left the weights
at the bottom of the stairs.
On Dec. 28, person(s)
unknown stole the tailgate
and tag from a pickup truck
parked at a Corder Road
business.
Stealing
to pay the MHs'?
Kevin Beasley, 21, 304
Peach Blossom Road,
Warner Robins, was arrest
ed Dec. 24 for theft by tak
ing for reportedly stealing
items from the same address
without the owner’s permis
sion between Dec. 10 and 24
and pawning them “to pay
the bills.” A variety of tools
including a drill, sanders, a
welder, an air impact
wrench, a camera and a
video camera were reported
ly taken, with a total value
of $2,384.
Ignorance is no
excuse

deputy he didn’t know he
had to have a motorcycle
license to operate a motorcy
cle. He was pulled over for
speeding - 56 mph in a 25
mph zone - on Elaine Drive

BEAT
Brooks said he did not have
his license with him and a
check by his name showed
his license had been sus
pended since 1994. As his
Suzuki GSXR6OO was to be
towed, Brooks said it was a
mistake and he did have a
license. That number came
back valid but without a
motorcycle endorsement.
Brooks reportedly said he
didn’t know he had to have
one. He was taken to jail. He
was also cited for speeding
and having no license on
person.
Caught in the act?
Otis Wayne Sorrow, 52,
Macon, was arrested on Dec.
28 for criminal attempt to
commit burglary and pos
session of a tool during com
mission of a crime. He was
found at the scene of a
Marshallville Road home,
hiding in the bushes with a
screwdriver and a lighter in
his hand, according to
reports.

cocaine and use of a commu
nications facility to aid in a

An argument over change
for a $lO landed Alex Felton,
24, 98 Chris Drive, Warner
Robins, in jail.
According to police
reports, Felton argued with
another man about change
and chased him with a stick
on Ignico Drive. He said he
did not catch the man and
both returned to their vehi
cles. The victim admitted to
trying to punch Felton as he
drove by. He missed and
broke the driver’s side rear
window of Felton’s car,
injuring his hand. The vic
tim declined prosecution.
Felton was arrested for an
outstanding warrant from
the sheriffs office for proba
tion violation. A search of
his car turned up a hand
rolled cigar with a green
leafy material inside on the
floor of the car. He was also
charged with possession of
marijuana, less than one
ounce. He said he wanted to
prosecute the man for
breaking his window and
was advised on how to take
out warrants.
