The Warner Robins Diamond
Demon Booster Club is hosting
its Baseball Lead-off Dinner.
The fundraiser is scheduled
to start at 6:30 p.m. and will
cost $25 par ticket. The cost
covers a a steak dinner pro
vided by Outback, door prizes
and a silent auction.
Guests will include former
Major League Baseball players

Gatton adds a little kick to her child-raising techniques

Monique Gatton,
the mother of two
boys, has taken
child raising to a new level.
She is a first-degree black
belt in taekwondo, honing
her skills at Warner Robins
Karate Academy.

Pine Oaks to host Black Heritage tournament

Pine Oaks Golf Course personnel
will be putting on the club’s Three
Club Tournament Jan. 22.
The format calls for players to choose
which three clubs they’re going to use
for the tournament.
It is scheduled for a 9 a.m. shotgun
start. The cost is $25 for AGF mem
bers and S4O for NAGF members and
includes cart, green fee, range balls
and lunch. Prizes will be awarded in
gross and net.

than 400 swimmers rep
resenting 16 schools
descended on Fort Valley
State University’s new
swimmingpool Wednesday
for the first high school
match to be held in the
new facility.
In that event, Houston
County’s Lady Bears won
the girls division with 131
points while the school’s
boys finished second with
142 points.
Mclntosh finished first
in the boys division with
164 points.

had a chance for first.
His primary goal,
though, he said, was to get

Wild Game.”
It of course contains
