• Recycle your Christmas
tree by bringing it to The Great
Christmas Tree Round-Up
between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. in
front of the water tower on
Maple Street in Warner Robins.
Most will be chipped into mulch
and used to keep our parks
green and beautiful. Others will
be deposited in area lakes and
streams to improve the habitat
of fish. As a special bonus, you
will receive a free tree seedling
for each tree you bring on Jan.
8. Truckloads are welcome. The
Great Christmas Tree Round-

BOBBY D. BRACKETT
GADSDEN, Ala. - Bobby D. Brackett, 61, of Gadsden,
Ala., died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday at Crestwood
Chapel, with the Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating. Burial
followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Brackett attended Gospel Temple Christian Center, and
was a member of Masonic Lodge #913. He was retired from
Gulf State Steel with 31 years of service, and was a member
of the Bama Classic Antique Car Club. Brackett was a lov
ing husband, father, grandfather and great friend to all. He
was preceded in death by his father, Elmus H. Brackett; sis
ter, Vickie Lee Brackett; and faithful companion, Cheyenne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Georgia
Brackett; daughter, Teresa Brackett; sons, Jeff (Amanda)
Brackett and Ronnie (Kimberly Wells) Brackett; grandchil
dren, Lauren Brackett and Hunter Brackett; mother, Opal
M. Brackett; brother, Donnie Wayne Brackett; and a host of
brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James Hayes, Charles Brackett, Donnie
Moon, Woodrow Harris, Laveral Maroney, Larry Brackett,
Paul Brackett, Leonard Jones and Barney Gilliland.
Honorary pallbearers were Drs. Doug Lipperd and Bryan
McGwier. Special thanks to Wiregrass Hospice, Cindy, Greg
and Randy.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home. Masonic rites were held at the graveside.
Crestwood Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

EASTON, Maine - Richard Cox of Easton,
Maine, formerly of Warner Robins, went to be
with the Lord on Dec. 19, 2004.
He is survived by his wife Christine Cox of
Easton, Maine; two sons, Ricky Cox of Byron,
and Kenny Cox of Shaw Air Force Base, South
Carolina; one daughter, Debra Bainter of
Centerville; one sister of Micki Bell of Byron;
two stepchildren, Amy Stanley of Millenocket, Maine, and
Charlie Stanley of Millenocket, Maine; four grandchildren,
Melissa and Jessie Cox of Byron, and Jimmy and Jason
Jones of Centerville.
MARGO SYRIA
WARNER ROBINS - Margo Syria, 62, passed away on
Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, in her home. Services will be pri
vate.
Syria was born in Moline, 111. She retired from Henry
Ford Hospital as an artificial kidney technician. Her father,
John DiVencentis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Syria of Perry;
mother, Agnes DiVencentis; children, Kim Alband of
Minnesota; and Lauri Sweet of Michigan.

GEORGE KENNETH VOSEIPKA
WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - George Kenneth
Voseipka, 82, of Winston Salem, N.C., formerly
of Perry, passed away from Alzheimer’s disease
on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. He was born April
21, 1922, North Platte, Neb. Graduated from
University of Denver School of Law. Voseipka served in the
U.S. Air Force for 26 years, before retiring as lieutenant
colonel. He was a member of Perry Presbyterian Church,
where he was an ordained deacon.
Voseipka is survived by two daughters and son-in-law,
Jane Daniel of Portland, Oregon, and Kay and Tom
Stocking of Winston Salem; two grandsons, Brendan
Stocking and wife Angela of Raleigh, N.C., and Adam
Stocking of Winston Salem, N.C.; one sister, Dorothy
Leininger of Carmichael, Calif.; one brother and sister-in
law, Bob and Dorothy Voseipka of Tucson, Ariz.
Voseipka was preceded in death by his parents, and his
wife Edella W. Voeipka.
Burial will be in Andersonville National Cemetery,
Andersonville.
