Robins ES students sing at clinic

MORROW - Four chorus
members from Robins Air
Force Base Elementary
School attended the 2004
Elementary State Honor
Choir Clinic on Nov. 5-6 in
Morrow.
Daryus Bellamy,
LaDareon Copeland,
Marissa Aguilar and
Khanija Taylor represented
the base school and were
among the 500 elementary
students attending the
statewide event.
Robins was one of over
120 schools represented
from across the state.
This event is sponsored by
the Georgia Music
Educators Association,
made up of music educators
from across the state.
Georgia has the largest
membership of any state in
the Southeast. Sheila
Clopton, choral director, is a
member of GMEA and the
national affiliate, MENC,
Music Educators National
Conference.
Students rehearsed music
with their choral director
prior to attending the clinic.
Students were divided into
two choirs and had the
opportunity of working with
MACON STATE COLLEGE DEAN'S LIST
The Dean’s List at Macon
State College for Fall
Semester 2004 includes the
names of 136 students from
Houston County. A stu
dent’s name is placed on the
Dean’s List if he/she has
taken a course load of at
least nine semester hours
and earned a 3.50 to 3.79
grade point average during
Fall Semester 2004. Those
recognized for academic
