indoor yard sale from 8 a.m.

ceeds benefit the mentally chal

• The official grand open
ing/ribbon cutting for Houston
Medical Center’s new Surgery
Center will be at 10 a.m.
Following the ribbon cutting
and tours, the center will be
open to the public from 11 a.m..
until 2 p.m. for tours, free
screenings, Teddy Bear Clinic,
clowns, balloons, etc. All are
invited to will take advantage
of this opportunity to see the
“behind the scenes” areas of
the surgery facility.
• The Perry Recreation
Department will offer a defen
sive driving class from 10 a.m.
until 4 p.m. at Rozar Park,
Keith Drive. Advance registra

FRED MCCLURE
WARNER ROBINS - Fred
McClure, 83, passed away
Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday in the chapel of
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, with
burial at 11 a.m. Monday in the
Andersonville National Cemetery with
full military honors. Visitation was from 6
until 8 p.m. Friday.
McClure was born in Bradshaw, W.Va. to the late Fred and
Ollie Caudell McClure. McClure began a 22-year active
service stretch at the age of 16. He was a veteran of World
War II and was honored by becoming the first sergeant
major of the U.S. Army, where he served in the 101st
Airborne Division. After his retirement in 1962, he and his
wife were active members of the Gideons and McClure was
a Cadillac saleman. He taught Sunday School for many
years and because of his love for children he also drove a
school bus. His final retirement took place in 2003 at the
age of 81 after he drove for the transportation department
at Robins Air Force Base and kept the Robins employees
mobile by driving taxis and shuttles for SKE Support
Services contracted by the base. McClure was a member of
the First Assembly of God in Warner Robins.
Survivors include his wife, Joan C. McClure; six stepchil
dren; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Serenity
Gate Hospice House at 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA
31069.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrange
ments.
JAMES HENRY ROBINSON
WARNER ROBINS - James Henry
Robinson, 75, passed away on Thursday, Jan.
20, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 3
p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Chapel of
McCullough Funeral Home, with interment
following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation was 6 until
8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at McCullough Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Second Baptist Church
Building Fund, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA
31088; or Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive,
Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Robinson was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Reynolds to the late
A.J. and Queenie Robinson. He was a member of Second
Baptist Church and was retired as a program manager from
civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Robinson proudly
served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of
the Korean War. Preceding him in death was a sister, Marie
Moren.
Survivors include, loving and devoted wife of 54 years,
Joyce Fincher Robinson of Warner Robins; son, Jimmy
Robinson of Warner Robins; son, Larry Robinson (Leslie) of
Macon; son, Kenny Robinson of Interlachen, Fla.; daughter,
Carol Chambers (Tommy) of Warner Robins; brothers,
Edward Robinson, Johnny Robinson and Arnold Robinson;
and sister, Leila Guinn, all of Butler; seven grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.

SHARON MARIE ROSSBOROUGH
ARNER ROBINS - Sharon Marie Rossborough, 29, of
Warner Robins, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005. Funeral serv
ices will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Heritage
Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glen Haven
Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Rusty Smith will officiate.
Rossborough, a native of Macon, attended Northside High
School and graduated from the Job Corps in culinary arts.
Survivors include her parents, James Morris and Ginger
Yoho, and adoptive father Lance Crivellone, all of Warner
Robins; two brothers and two sisters.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrange
ments.
ALISON MARIE WILLIAMS
WARNER ROBINS - Alison Marie Williams,
31, died Jan. 17, 2005, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, in the Chapel of
Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors.
Williams was born on April 25, 1973, in Rahway, N.J., a
daughter of Walter L. Williams and the late Rosalind
Larson Williams.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy as an aviation techni
cian.
She is survived by her father, Walter L. Williams of
Columbia, S.C.; her daughter, Megan Alyssa Williams of
Warner Robins; two sisters, Maureen Davis of Beaufort,
S.C., and Lisa Heim of New Jersey.
