SANG BRODY
WARNER ROBINS - Sang Brody, 70, of Warner Robins,
died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005. Funeral services were held at
11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Burial
followed in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Pastor David
Brighton will officiate.
Brody was born in Korea and attended Mt. Calvary
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Brody of Warner
Robins; sons, Robert Brody of Miami, Fla., and John Brody
of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Taelor, Gage, Madison
Brody, and Daniel Carroll and Hannah Carroll.
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American
Lung Association, 61 Broadway 6th Floor, New York, NY
10006.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrange
ments.
RUTH D. COLE
WARNER ROBINS - Ruth D. Cole, 84, of 324 Bernard
Drive, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005. Services were at 10 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 24, in the First United Methodist Church. Dr.
Jimmy Asbell Jr. and the Rev. Missy Blumenthal officiated.
Burial followed in the Magnolia Park Cemetery.
Cole was a native of Geneva County, Ala., but had lived in
Warner Robins for many years. She was retired from the
City of Warner Robins Utility Department as a Service
Representative. She formerly directed and catered wed
dings. She was a long-time member of First United
Methodist Church where she volunteered in the food pantry
project. She was a member of the United Methodist Women
and the Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include her son, Steven Terry (Barbara) Cole of
Richmond Hill; three sisters, Geraldine Beckham of
Enterprise, Ala., Betty Jo Peters of Jackson, Tenn., and
Sara Hanna of Humboldt, Iowa; brother Bobby Dorriety of
Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Stephanie (John Lee) Story
of Savannah, Christopher Cole of Atlanta, Jessica Cole of
Richmond Hill; two great-grandchildren, Coleson Story and
Connor Story, both of Savannah.
Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist
Church Building Fund at 205 N. Davis Drive, Warner
Robins, GA 31093, in memory of Mrs. Cole.
The family received friends at the Heritage Memorial
Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday.

PATRIE THIGPEN JOHNSON
WARNER ROBINS - Patrie Thigpen Johnson, 94, passed
away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005. Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 (TODAY), at First
Assembly of God, with interment scheduled at 3 p.m. in
Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation was 6 until 8 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 24, at McCullough Funeral Home.
Johnson was born Jan. 9, 1911, in Cadwell to the late
Linton Stephen and Eunice Hamilton Thigpen. She was a
charter member of First Assembly of God where she taught
the Primary Sunday School Class, was a past president and
an active member of the Women’s Ministry. She was also a
seamstress while living in Logansport, Ind. Preceding her
in death were husband, Thomas Christopher Johnson;
granddaughter, Victoria Faith Poteet; sisters, Lillian
Anderson and Hilda Calloway.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia J. Sparks of
Cochran; son, Dr. Thomas Franklin Johnson of Dahlonega;
grandsons, Christopher Earl Johnson of Macon, Stephen
Franklin Johnson of Gray, Andrew Thomas Johnson of
South Dakota; sister, Sally Dixon of Vidalia; and several
nieces and nephews.

MSGT. HOWARD A. NOLAN, USAF (RET.)
BYRON - Master Sgt.
Howard A. Nolan, USAF (Ret.),
81, passed away on Friday, Jan.
21, 2005, at Houston Medical
Center. Funeral services will be
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 (TODAY),
at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral
Home, with interment following in
Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation was 7
until 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at
McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations may be made to a tsunami relief fund of your
choice.
Nolan was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Springfield, Mass., to
the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nolan. He proudly served in
the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and retired
from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 1983. He was a member
of American Legion Post 172 and VFW Post 6605. Nolan
was a Chapter 9 Disabled American Veteran and a Shriner.
He was of the Catholic faith. Preceding him in death was his
wife, Elizabeth B. Nolan.
Survivors include son, Chief Master Sgt. Howard M.
Nolan (Ret.) (Ronnie) of Byron; son, Timothy P Nolan
(Laura) of Springfield, Mass.; daughter, Mary Skrabely of
Springfield, Mass.; sister, Geraldine Roe of Dallas, Pa.;
grandchildren, Heather Johnson of Byron, Christopher
Nolan of Warner Robins, Ryan Nolan of Perry, Donna
Tetreault of Springfield, Mass., Emma Nolan of Springfield,
Mass.; and five great-grandchildren.
