Competitive cost sealed proposals for
furnishing all equipment, labor and
materials for Contract STP-4,
Wastewater Plant Upgrade, will be
received by the City of Perry, Georgia,
in the Council’s Chamber, City Hall,

The work consists of the following:
Furnishing all labor and materials and
equipment for a complete installation,
consisting of the following minor items:
Construction of aerated grit chamber,
3.0 MG aeration basin, 80’ diameter
clarifier, aerobic digesters, flow control
boxes, piping and other appurte
nances. Also included are modifica
tions to influent pumping station, exist
ing aeration basin, chlorine contact
chamber and equipment, control build
ing/lab, as well as clearing, grading
and fencing.
A Pre-Proposal Conference will be
held at the Water Pollution Control
Plant on February 10, 2005 at 10:00
A.M.
The Contract Documents may be

Perry, Georgia; Dodge Plan Room,
Macon, Georgia; and TM Corporation
Engineers, Roswell, Georgia.
The Contract documents may be
obtained from TM Corporation,

S4OO, of which SIOO will be refunded to
those submitting a proposal and
returning the documents. Along with
the request for Documents, the
prospective offer or shall submit the
firm's qualifications, a list of similar
projects completed within the last five
years, complete with project name,
owner, engineer, and final cost. Also
include in the submittal a letter from
the firm’s bonding agent stating the
amount of the Firm’s bonding capacity
that will be available for this project.
Proposals may be held by the City for
a period not to exceed sixty (60) days
from the date of opening of proposals
for the purpose of reviewing the pro
posals and investigating the qualifica
tions of the offer or prior to awarding
the contract.

Shirley Hills Baptist Church, Owner.
615 Corder Road, Warner Robins,
Georgia 31088, until 3:00 PM at the
time legally prevailing in Warner
Robins, Georgia on February 24, 2005
for the construction of the “NEW
CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER”, located
in Warner Robins, Georgia. At the time
and place noted above, the proposals
will be publicly opened and read. A
statement of bidders qualifications is
required with each proposal. See
Specifications, Section B.

Bids in order to be considered must be
accompanied by a bid bond payable to
the Owner in an amount not less than
5% of the Base Bid. This bid security
shall become payable to the Owner
only if the bidder to whom award is
made should fail to execute contract
with the Owner and furnish bonds in
accordance with the terms of his pro
posal within ten (10) days after notifi
cation of award. No bid may be with
drawn for a period of thirty-five (35)
days after date of opening. The con
tract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum
basis. Facsimiles of Bid Bond
Proposal Form will not be accepted.

The Contractor will deliver to the
Owner a Performance Bond and
Payment Bond in the amounts equal to
100% of the total contract price. Bonds
will be executed by the Contractor, as
principal, and a corporate surety
authorized to do business in the State
of Georgia and have a minimum ‘A’
rating in the current edition of
Best's Key Rating Guide, and be
acceptable to the Owner. A copy of
page in Best's Key Rating Guide
indicating Surety's 'A' rating is
required with the Contractors bid
proposal See Section C - item C-04,
F. See Specifications, Section F, for
format of bonds. Other bond formats
are not acceptable.

Bidding documents may be examined
and obtained at the office of Adams
and Day Architects, 2936 Vineville
Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.
Applications for documents with a
deposit of $150.00 per set should be
filed promptly with the Architect.
Bidding material will be forwarded,
shipping charges collect, as soon as
possible. The full amount of deposit for
two sets of bidding documents will be
refunded to each General Contractor
who submits a bona fide bid upon
return of such sets complete and in
good condition within 30 days after
date of opening bids. All other deposits
will be refunded with deductions for
cost of reproduction of document upon
return of same complete and in good
condition within 30 days after date of
opening bids. Partial set of bidding
documents will not be issued.
