Unfortunately for the

turned out to be the dif

The Lady Golden Hawks
scored three straight tran

the Lady Panthers only
trailing by three, 26-23.
Instead they faced the

MACON - For Northside
head coach Kevin Smith,
Wednesday was a time
to revel in sweet success.
His Eagles knocked off
Stockbridge, 60-49.
Yes, that Stockbridge. The
team that entered the game
as the number two seed
from 3-AAAA North with a
22-4 record.
Northside was 13-11 and
had to defeat Hardaway
Monday just to qualify for
the tournament at Westside.

a state title in the open

games they played against
Washington County this
year (the first game being
the closest in which Perry
lost in overtime). “But

Not on the same level of
the loss, but: “I feel like
we wasted a pretty good
defensive effort,” Chance
added.
Indeed, Perry held the
Lady Golden Hawks to
just four points in the first
quarter - all of them com

(her only points on the
night).
