Beautiful (KWRB) is encourag
ing citizens to celebrate Arbor
Day by planting a tree.
Dogwood seedlings will be
available free of charge (while
they last) to the public begin
ning at 9 a.m. at Wal-Mart in
Warner Robins. This is a proj
ect of KWRB’s Youth Advisory
Board (YAB). Youth representa
tives are selected at the begin
ning of each school year from
local schools. Advisor to the
YAB, Francis Wilson, and mem
bers of YAB will be available to
answer questions about plant
ing and caring for the seedlings.

plate barbecue fund-raiser will

LEON L. BOATRIGHT SR.
WARNER ROBINS - Leon L.
Boatright Sr., 76. passed away
on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, in
his home. Services will be held w ONpK
at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26,
2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral mm
Home with interment following in Magnolia
Park Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 until 8 mMEUM
p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at McCullough Funeral Home. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to
Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner
Robins, GA 31088.
Boatright was born in Republic, Mo. He was a member of
Central Baptist Church, the P Joyner Sunday School Class,
Central Five-O, and was an usher. He retired in 1989 from
Robins Air Force Base and served the U.S. Army during the
Korean conflict. His parents, Austin and Myrtle Boatright;
sons, Leon Jr., and Jeffery Boatright; brother, Ross
Boatright, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Shirley A.
Boatright of Warner Robins, Steve Boatright (Donna) of
Baxley, LuAnne Barnett (Bill) of Salem, Ind.; grandchil
dren, Stephen Boatright, Margaret Boatright, Heather
Bussone and Ryan Bussone (Wendy); great-granddaughter,
Alexis Bussone; aunt, Sylvia Fisher; Geneiva Thompson;
uncle, Charlie James; nephew, Johnny Boatright of
Republic, Mo.

MARVIN CLARK JR.
KATHLEEN - Marvin Clark Jr., 76, of
Kathleen, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005. A
memorial gathering was held from 7-9 p.m.
Friday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home,
Burial will be private.
Clark, a native of Alamo, was the son of the late Marvin
and Vola Carroll Clark Sr. He was retired from Robins Air
Force Base and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member
of the Mt. Carmel Holiness Church, Tyrian Lodge #lll and
the Scottish Rite. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and
member of the Big Rack Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Clark of Kathleen; chil
dren: Wanda Daniel of Cornelia, Gail Arrendondo of Ft.
Payne, Ala., Katie Clark of Rome, Noel Christopher of
Newnan and Randy Brantley of Kathleen; grandchildren:
Michael Hardy, Christy Bowman and Richie Arrendondo;
eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of
Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA
31088.
