The Eagle Springs Elementary Eagles of the Week for the week of Jan. 10-14 were cho
sen by teachers because they best represent the character phrase of the week,
“respect for others.” The students chosen are (first row) D’Armoni Rios, Claire
Whitecotton, Isabel Reyes, Iziah McDaniel, Max Reaves, Caleb Hudlin, Robby Brandon,
Tehreem Cohar and Alonza Ross; (second row) Raven King, Katy Payton, Anthony
Cappas, Maleesia Ragins, Kaila Hill, Hannah Reinhardt, Nick King, Matthew Smith,
Raekwon Smith, and Kamaria Gresham; and (third row) Kassidy Hopkins, Aghfar Arun,
Finley Woods, Tyekia Daniely, Tyler Gray, Kenny Crandall, Matthew Linderman, Kelsey
Glaze and Darion Conyers.

The students of Perry Primary School recently celebrat
ed their 100th day of school. The school was full of les
sons focusing on the number 100. Many students
brought in 100 objects and used the objects throughout
the day to complete activities. Others brought 100 edible
things that were combined to make a 100-day snack.
Pictured are students from Mary Hunt’s kindergarten
class, who made 100-day hats using 100 stickers.
Students are Michael Rosado, Brittany Ashcroft, Dijah
Jackson, Carter Whiddon, Hayden Kendall and Jokimbria
Davis.

On behalf of the state organization of Family, Career and
Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Houston
County High School students Dabe Patterson and
Jessica Bryant recently attended a reception for Habitat
for Humanity Foundation 1000 held at the Governor’s
Mansion. Special guests attending the event were
Governor and Mrs. Perdue, radio and newspaper person
ality Clark Howard and Habitat for Humanity Foundation
1000 members and Habitat home recipients from the
Atlanta area. Dabe serves as president of the State
FCCLA organization and Jessica is a member of the
State FCCLA Youth Leadership Board. Accompanying
the students were their advisers, Nelda Clay and Jane
Cooper.
