State qualifiers lead area's best matmen
By DON MONCRIEF
HHJ Sports Editor
WARNER ROBINS -
They don’t boast
year-round pro
grams like some
schools - particularly those
up north. They don’t have
the state “team” or “indi
vidual” medals. They don’t
have the dollars and they
sometimes don’t have the
same level of support (see
other programs above).
Yet, wrestling in Houston
County is like “Field of
Dreams.” If you place a mat
on the gym, they - the wres

Proof is in the number
of state qualifiers this past
season and such has been

They finished last season
13-6 but lost in the playoffs
in the first round.
Although Warner Robins
lost four seniors to gradu

It’s made the coaches’
job more delightful, but it’s
also made the task of pick
ing an All-Houston County
wrestling team all the more
arduous.
All are winners without
argument. Some are just a

After an 11-4-4 season

Statesboro was 3-1 at that

The Demons have leading

Warner Robins players work out during a practice at the school Monday. The Demons
won the region last year and now have set their sights on even loftier goals.

Kinsler’s biggest prob

“It’s a huge concern,”
Kinsler said. “We have so
