RICKY CONNELL
WARNER ROBINS - Ricky Connell, 57, passed away on
Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in his home. Services will be held at
11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005 (TODAY), in the chapel of
McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in
Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 until 8 p.m.
Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at McCullough Funeral Home.
Connell was bom in Macon in 1947 to Charlie and Ina
Connell. He worked at Robins Air Force Base as a haz
ardous material tech.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Kay Connell of Warner
Robins; parents, Charlie and Ina Connell of Warner Robins;
son, Monty R. Connell (Sandy) of Warner Robins; daughter,
Chelsea L. Johnson (Ricky) of Perry; grandsons, Ryne
Connell of Warner Robins, Tyler Connell of Warner Robins;
brothers, Ronnie Connell (Angie) of Warner Robins, and
Randy Connell of Warner Robins.
Ricky’s loving wife was his rock and there was no stronger
love W.K.C. aka Babycakes.

ROBIN P. MORREN
WARNER ROBINS - Robin E Morren, 40, passed away
Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Emory University Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005
(TODAY), in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with
interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2,
2005, at McCullough Funeral Home. The family suggests
memorials be made to the American Cancer Society 804
Cherry St. Ste. A, Macon GA 31210.
Morren was born in Birmingham, Ala., in 1964 to Max
and Alma Patterson. She was of Baptist Faith and a mem
ber of Mabel White. She worked at Cuts by Us as a hair
stylist.
Survivors include her parents, Max and Alma Patterson
of Cleveland; sons, Adam Morren; Andrew Morren of
Kathleen; daughter, Katy Payton of Byron; brothers,
Michael Patterson (Phyllis) of Pennsylvania; Matthew
Patterson (Tracie) of Colorado; and Mark Patterson of
Colorado.

Authorities probe
shooting, home invasion

BONAIRE - A Bonaire
man was shot and assaulted
in his home by several
masked men with guns early
Monday morning.
Investigations have
turned up the street names
of some possible suspects,
said Houston County
Sheriffs Chief Investigator
Capt. Robert Clark, who
responded to the scene on
Forest Hill Drive. The vic
tim claimed one of suspects
said, “This is for what you
did to my sister.”
The victim was indicted in
Superior Court for for sale
of cocaine and doing so with
in 1,000 feet of a park, uses
of a communication facility
and committing an act con
stituting a felony in April
2003, but he has yet to go to
trial.
A man at the residence at
the time may also have had
something to do with it, the
victim told deputies. He
came in for questioning and
was released.
The incident began as the
victims returned home from
the movies. The victim
reportedly dropped his wife
at the front door and drove
to rear of the house. The
wife told police she came in
and was speaking with
another resident who was
sitting on the sofa watching

or five black males enter the
rear of residence. On of
them, whom she described

as light-skinned, stocky,
about 4-feet-10, dressed in
black with a mask and a
deep voice, took her to a
back bedroom and demand
ed money.
The man reportedly
threatened to shoot her if
she did not give him the
money. She saw two others
in camouflage with masks,
but was unsure exactly how
many there were.
While she was being
threatened, the woman said
she heard one of the offend
ers shoot the victim, hearing
two or three shots. The vic
tim was shot twice, once in
the right hand index finger
and once in the left hip,
according to deputies’
reports.
After being taken to the
hospital by emergency per
sonnel, the victim told
deputies, that unknown
subjects shot at him while
he was standing at the door.
He said he began to struggle
with the suspects and was
struck in the head with a
pistol. He then fell to the
floor, and the suspects began
to kick him in the head.
The victim said he heard
sirens and the suspects left
through the back door of the
residence.
The victim said he got up,
ran next door and called
911.
