Fight escalates from words to tree limbs to a knife

Horace Williams Jr., 54,

Robins, was arrested for ter
roristic threats and acts fol
lowing a fight with a woman
and others in the intersec
tion of Virginia Dare and
Sherry Lane on Monday.
Williams reportedly
approached the woman and
asked where she lived. She
said he had a husband.
Williams and the victim
then exchanged vulgarities
and he allegedly swung at
her. She reported pushed
him away and he picked up a
tree limb and hit her in the
head, according to reports.
She the picked up stick and
hit him twice.
Another man arrived on
scene and took the stick
from Williams, who then hit
the man knocking his glass
es off. The woman sent a
third man to get her
boyfriend, who arrived
shortly thereafter. When the
boyfriend arrived, Williams
swung at him too and the
woman called 911. Williams
left the scene and returned
with a knife and another
man and began swinging the
knife at the victim, accord
ing to reports.
This is when police
arrived. An officer secured
Williams and the knife by
drawing her weapon and
ordering him to drop the
knife. He reported complied
after several orders to do so,
was handcuffed and placed
in the back seat of a patrol
car. Williams’ charges were
upgraded to aggravated
assault, per the judge.
Williams was also charged
with violation of probation
(for theft by receiving stolen
property).

Woman raped
in WR home
WARNER ROBINS - The
Warner Robins Police
Department reported that
officers responded to a rape
complaint at a Jackson
Street address at 1:39 a.m.
Friday.
The complainant, a 68-
year-old woman, told offi
cers that the perpetrator
had entered the residence
and attacked her. The victim
was treated and released at
Houston Medical Center.
Police are looking for a
black male, approximately
5-feet-11 to 6-feet-1 in
height, 190-200 pounds,
with a medium to dark com
plexion.
The investigation is being
conducted by Detective
Scott McSwain of the
Warner Robins Police
Department Criminal
Investigation Division and
anyone with information
related to the crime are
urged to contact him at 929-
6908 or 929-6911.

Convicts with guns
Thomas Caldwell Jr., 40,
Lizella, was arrested by
Perry Police for possession
of a firearm by a convicted
felon, possession of marijua
na, DUI-alcohol and driving
on a suspended license
(third offense) on Feb. 25
after reportedly running a
red light - for which he was
also charged.
Daniel Jacob Dawson, 20,
204 Sandalwood Drive,
Bonaire, was charged with
carrying concealed weapons
and possession of a firearm
by a convicted felon by
Warner Robins Police on
Feb. 26 at 310 S. Pleasant
Hill Road. Police responded
to the scene in reference to a
self-inflicted gunshot
wound. The victim had a
gunshot wound to his left
hand and was taken to the
hospital.

Bonaire, was cited for no
tag, no insurance and reck
less driving on Tuesday
after a deputy observed a
four-wheeler jump the ditch
on Second Street and across
the road at Fourth Avenue
in Bonaire. The deputy
made contact with the driv
er, who advised he was rid
ing the four-wheeler. The
deputy remembered the
driver from a previous meet
ing in early February at the
same location when he was
advised not to drive four
wheelers in the road.
Darden was arrested, and
the four-wheeler towed.
Dinkins drinkin?
RC Dinkins, 55, 106 Vickie
Lynn Drive, Warner Robins,
was stopped near Vickie
Lynn and Vickie drives after
a deputy reported observed
a taillight lenses were bro
ken. Dinkins reportedly was
traveling on the wrong side
of the road and stopped on
the left side facing the curb.
The deputy reportedly
noticed a strong odor of alco
holic beverage coming from
the vehicle as he talked with
Dinkins. As the driver
stepped to the rear of the
vehicle he allegedly
appeared unsteady on his
feet and was swaying. He
initially denied having any
thing to drink then report
edly admitted to some wine
earlier.
Dinkins submitted to an
Alcosensor test and tested
positive, according to
reports. His driver’s license
came back suspended and he
was escorted to the patrol
car.
As the deputy opened the
door, Dinkins reportedly lost
his balance and fell into the
rear seat of the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle
turned up a Taco Bell cup
full of beer. The passenger

Linda Nash Lester, 55,
reportedly said it was hers.
She was issued a citation for
open container and released
on the citation.
The deputy also found a
bottle of Wild Irish Rose
wine wedged against the dri
ver’s seat, an open and
spilled bottle of Miller beer
under the driver’s seat, and
two unopened bottles in a
brown paper bag between
the seats. En route to the
sheriffs office, the deputy
explained several times why
he needed blood and breath
tests.
Dinkins reportedly said he
understood and that was
why he wasn’t taking them.
“I know I have been drink
ing and I have been through
this before,” Dinkins report
edly said. “I know I should
not have been driving but I
am a working man.”
Checks and imbalances
Monday, a Mt. Zion Road
couple reported someone
has been using their check
ing account number and
passing checks in Macon,
Augusta and Atlanta. They
have records of the checks
and amounts and still have
blank checks with those
numbers.
The woman passing the
checks wrote her date of
birth on checks being in
1997. The victim’s date of
birth was in 1952. The 14
checks passed between Feb.
15 and Feb. 17 were at
Rich’s, $500; Sears, two for
$250 each; Parisian, $500;
Finish Line, $437.22;
Victoria’s Secret, $400;
Nordstrom’s $957.65 and
$500; The Children’s Place,
$488.02: Abercrombie &
Fitch, $400: Burlington
Store $432; Banana
Republic, $400; Old Navy,
$300; and $417.56 at Wal-
Mart. The couple met with
bank officials the next day

Stolen mail
A Wesley Circle resident
reported three bill payments
stolen from his mailbox on
Feb. 10. He was contacted
March 1 by two companies
for non-payment. One of the
checks has been cashed and
a fraudulent purchase made
on one of the accounts since
then.
A Lakeview Terrace resi
dent reported person(s)
unknown removed five bill
payments from his mail box
overnight between Feb. 27
and Monday.
Fraudulent activity
A Collins Avenue resident
reported a man named Dave
claiming to be a customer
officer with Standard Life of
Canada told her she’d won
$250,000 and needed to wire
him $2,300. He provided an
888 number. She went to
Wal-Mart to wire the money
but the store told her it was
a scam and refused to wire
the money. The woman went
home called 911 and called
Dave back. He hung up
when advised police wanted
to talk to him.

Robins, was arrested for
hindering the apprehension
of a criminal, by deputies
serving a probation warrant
on Ray Milton. After knock
ing on the door several
times, deputies observed
Jones walking around inside
the location and advised her
she’d go to jail for hindering
if she didn’t open the door.
The deputies obtained per
mission to force entry into
the residence and did so,
entering through the back
door without damaging it.
Jones came out and report
edly told deputies Milton
was not living there. The
kids in the house also denied
Milton was there. A deputy
then asked if Milton was in
the attic - and Jones report
edly said yes. Milton then
came out from under some
blankets in the garage. He’d
been reportedly hiding there
trying to get into the attic.
Both Milton and Jones were
taken into custody, and the
children turned over to the
Juvenile Division.
