Office Juvenile Division and
the Houston County Sheriff’s

JUANITA “NITA” BROWNING
FORT VALLEY - Juanita “Nita” Browning, 72, passed
away Saturday, March 5, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m.
Tuesday (TODAY) in the chapel of Heritage Memorial
Funeral Home, with burial at 3 p.m. in the Rock Creek
Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation was
from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Browning was born in Monroe County to the late Thomas
and Tinnie Ivey Williams. She was also preceded in death by
a son, Ricky Hand. She was a retired electronic mechanic
from Robins Air Force Base and a member of the Rock
Creek Baptist Church in Monroe County.
Survivors include her husband Larry M. Browning of Fort
Valley; daughters Sherri NeSmith of Fort Valley, and
Sandra Lucas of Sylvester; stepson, Larry M. Browning Jr.
and Brian Browning, both of Warner Robins; brother,
Warren Williams of Monroe County; grandchildren Sonya
Gaddis, Jason Lucas and Jeffrey Whitley.

Association (Georgia Affiliate) at One Corporate Square,

LEWIS S. COSBY
LOCUST GROVE - Lewis S. Cosby, 78, died
Thursday March 3, 2005, in Perry. Funeral
services were 10 a.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005, IBSgSgZZ
at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church camp
ground in Perry, with interment following in
the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. Saturday on
the campground.
Cosby, born in Tunica, Miss., was the son of the late
William Price Cosby and Katy (Avery) Cosby. A Navy World
War II veteran; he was a retired machinist with 20 years of
service at Delta Air Lines, and an avid gardener.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Audrey Sayce
Cosby; children, Gary Lewis Cosby (Carrie) of Jackson,
Mike Dennis Cosby of Locust Grove, Steven Wayne Cosby of
High Falls; and seven grandchildren.

EMORY MILLARD WILLIAMSON
PERRY - Emory Millard Williamson, 88, died at the Perry
Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2005. Funeral services were
held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Houston Lake
Baptist Church, with interment at Perry Memorial
Gardens. The family received friends at the residence. The
family suggests contributions to the Houston Lake Baptist
Church Building Fund or the donor’s favorite charity.
Born in Taylor County, he was the son of the late William
Fuller Williamson and Eva Mae Jenkins Fuller. Williamson
was a retired civil service employee from Robins Air Force
Base.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Driskell Williamson;
children, Wanda Williamson of Perry, Carl Williamson of
South Daytona Beach, Fla., Donnie Williamson (Jean) of
Perry, Deborah Brewer of Floyd’s Knob, Ind., and Lanie
Nash (Jack) of Perry; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grand
children; brother, Harold E. Williamson of Michigan. He
was preceded in death by a son, M. Leroy Williamson.

MILDRED WASKO
WARNER ROBINS - Mildred Wasko, 79, passed away
Friday, March 4, 2005. All services will be held on
Wednesday in Cocoa, Fla. Survivors include daughters Kim
Payne and Sandy; and one son, Rick Rarogiewicz.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of local
arrangements.

and Vice President Ayana Ferguson attended the
Georgia Future Business Leaders of America’s
Leadership Conference in Athens recently. Students
attended leadership sessions, participated in the
Monopoly tournament, and attended a business-dress
fashion show. This conference provided officers the
opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and officer
