A Macon man was indict
ed on four charges by a
Houston County grand jury
Tuesday in connection with
an automobile accident that
left a Warner Robins woman
dead.
Keith Andrew Minter, 37,
313 Rogers Avenue, was
indicted on two counts of
vehicular homicide, driving
under the influence of a
drug, and reckless driving in
the death of Janice Kay
Boring, 47, of Warner
Robins.
The wreck occurred on
Aug. 12, 2004, on U.S. 41 in
north Houston County.
According to Houston
County Sheriffs Sgt. Mike
Stokes, Boring’s vehicle was
northbound on Houston
Lake Road at approximately
8:15 a.m. and attempting to
cross U.S. 41 when Minter
allegedly ran a red light
while driving down the
wrong side of the road and
struck her vehicle on the
driver’s side.
Minter was indicted on
two counts of vehicular
homicide. One of the counts
was based on a charge of
reckless driving while the
other count was based on
his allegedly driving under
the influence of a drug.
According to the indict
ment returned by the grand
jury, Minter was driving
under the influence of a pre
scription medication called
phenytoin, which is sold
under the brand name of
Dilantin. Dilantin is com
monly prescribed for
seizures, but it is still illegal
to drive while taking it due
to the fact that it impairs a
person’s ability to drive.
The grand jury did not
hear the case of Sherronica
McKenzie, who allegedly
stabbed her husband to
death in Warner Robins on
Saturday.

He said another important proj

“We hope to get that project pulled
forward,” Sanders said. “Right now
it’s slated for FY 2011.”
He said that if the county can
bring some money to the table it can
accelerate the widening from
Bonaire to the interstate and
improving the “critical intersection
at Lake Joy Road.”
The money needed, Sanders said,
is about $6 million to $lO million.
Such a project could be funded
