ROBERT ‘BOB” INGRAM
WARNER ROBINS - Robert “Bob” Ingrain, 79, passed
away on Friday, April 1, 2005, at the Medical Center of
Central Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 10 a. m.
Saturday, April 16, 2005, in Magnolia Cemetery. The family
suggests donations be made to your favorite animal rescue
or conservation organization.
Ingram was born in Manhattan, N.Y. He was of the
Presbyterian faith. He was also a member of the Wildlife
Conservation Reserve in Santee, S.C. His parents, Bertrum
and Margaret Ingram, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his niece, Peggi Nall (Rickie) of Warner
Robins; nephews, Arthur Strathern (David Field) of
Virginia, Robert (Bobby) Ingram (Stephanie) of New York;
four grandnieces; three grandnephews.

TERRY J. KIMBERLY
WARNER ROBINS - Terry J. Kimberly, 58, passed away
Thursday, March 31, 2005, at his residence. Graveside serv
ices were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Magnolia Park Cemetery, with
visitation from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Kimberly was born in Telfair County. He was preceded in
death by his father, Frederick Kimberly, and a brother, Van
Kimberly. Kimberly was a retired equipment specialist from
Robins Air Force Base, a member of Second Baptist Church
and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Kimberly of
Warner Robins, Donna Harman of Warner Robins and Kelli
Sikes of Cleveland; son Donnie Borah of Kathleen; grand
children, Chad Hilton and Eli Sikes; mother, Ophelia
Peacock Kimberly of Warner Robins; uncle, Dr. W.L. and
Sara Peacock of Augusta; nephew, Todd and Anita
Kimberly; great-nephew, Tyler Kimberly, and a great-niece,
Hannah Kimberly.

JEWEL HAY MCRAE
PERRY -Jewel Hay Mcßae, 90, died Thursday March 31,
2005, at a local nursing home. Funeral Services were at 11
a.m. Monday, April 4, 2005, at Watson-Hunt Chapel, with
interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation was
one hour before the service.
Mcßae, born in Lamar County, daughter of the late Will
and Mary (Mann) Lawrence, had resided here most of her
life. She retired from Robins Air Force Base civil service
with 30 years in the Item Management Division of Material
Management. She was preceded in death by her first hus
band of 27 years, Franklin Marion Hay Sr., in 1971, and her
second husband, Allen S. Mcßae, in 1990.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry and
also her family’s church, High Shoals Baptist. Memberships
in organizations include Perry Book Browsers, charter

Fire officials suspect light
ning strikes could have
caused fires that destroyed
two homes in Houston
County late last week.
Fire gutted a mobile home
at 108 Marie Drive at
around 10:20 a.m.
Thursday. Less than an
hour later, a second fire
swept through a brick home
at 148 Old Perry Road.
Assistant Fire Chief Ronnie
Register of the Houston
County Fire Department
said that firefighters were
unable to save either home.
Register said that the
department is still investi
gating both fires, but sus
pect that both could have
been caused by lightning
strikes.

was already spreading when
firefighters arrived on the
scene with three fire engines

Miller, 72, passed away on Saturday, April

Miller was born Aug. 17, 1932, in
Alamo, Tenn., to the late William and Mary Taylor
Edwards. She was a homemaker, a beautician and was of
the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, one sister, Elsie
Edwards and one brother, Max Edwards, preceded her in
death.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband,
Herbert “Jim” Miller of Warner Robins; daughters, Bonnie
Jo Higdon of Macon, Melinda Jo Bozeman of Cochran, and
Mary Jo Smith of Warner Robins; sisters, Ruth McDonald,
Evelyn Blizzard, Frances Barnwell, Bootsie Reasons, Joy
Nell Woods and Carolyn Prescott; brother, Nelson Edwards;
granddaughters, Sandy Higdon, Amanda Jo McCranie,
Lindsey Jo Bozeman and Amy Jo Bozeman; and great
granddaughter, Sammie Jo McCranie.

WILLARD DANIEL NELSON ___
MARSHALLVILLE - Willard Daniel Nelson,
86, of Marshallville, passed away March 31,
2005, at Perry Hospital in Perry. Funeral serv
ices were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005,
at Marshallville First Baptist Church. Nelson
will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. The
Rev. Nick Randall will officiate. Burial followed in
Marshallville City Cemetery.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at
the home of Faye and Garland Nelson, 409 West Main St.,
Marshallville.
Born on Jan. 10, 1919, in Turner County. He was the son
of the late John Berry Nelson and Annie Elizabeth
Bloodworth Nelson. He was the widow of the late Doris
Nelson. Mr. Nelson was a retired truck driver working for
A.M. Bickley and Blue Bird Body Company. He was a mem
ber of Marshallville First Baptist Church where he served
Perdue.

Sanders was born Dec. 3, 1945, in Stone Mountain, to the
late Washington Lee and Georgia Mary Ayers. A retired
church secretary from First Baptist of College Park, she was
a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jonesboro, where
she taught Sunday School.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Schurtz and her
husband, Murray, of Fort Valley; son, Jay Sanders and his
wife, Marsha, of Greenville; and two sisters, Becky
Hortman of Locust Grove, and Gaynelle Cook of Nevada.

WARNER ROBINS - Lois Mitchell Towler, 85, passed
away Saturday, April 2, 2005. Graveside services will be held
at 2 p.m. Tuesday (TODAY) in the Towler Family Cemetery
in Monroe. Visitation will follow at the cemetery.
Towler was born in Wilcox County to the late Richard I.
and Hattie Plemmons Mitchell. She was also preceded in
death by her husband Lewis Earl Towler. She was a long
time member of Central Baptist Church and a member of
the New Beginning Sunday School Class. She was a mem
ber of the Parents Without Partners Organization and
retired from Robins Air Force Base. She was a devoted
homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grand
mother.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Donald) Johnson
of Newark, Del., Karen (Jim) Dearborn of Germantown,
Tenn.; three grandchildren, Mark O. Johnson, Benjamin L.
Johnson and Whitney Katherine Dearborn; and seven
great-grandchildren.
