• The Perry Ministerial
Association is organizing an
observance of the National Day
of Prayer at noon on the front
steps of Perry City Hall, 1211

National Day of Prayer event at
the Warner Robins City Hall
Council Chambers from noon
until 1 p.m. Local leaders and
pastors will lead the service.

Broadway and popular music
through song and dance. The
Follies, a popular annual event
at WRHS from 1962 until 1979,
is making a return this year. The
audience will enjoy a trip through
time, with Frank Sinatra and
Elvis Presley songs as well as
numbers from ‘The Phantom of
the Opera,” “Grease,” “Mamma
Mia,” “The Wiz” and more.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for

present a spring concert at 7

Robins Air Force Base Pink

held at 11 a.m. The event pro
ceeds will benefit scholarship
recipients of the AFA chapter.

OBITUARIES
ETTA LEE (LOVELACE) HOLLON
WARNER ROBINS - Etta Lee (Lovelace) Hollon, 92,
died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at a local hospital. Funeral
arrangements pending coordination with McCullough
Funeral Home, Warner Robins, and Jackson-Brown
Funeral Home in Valley, Ala. Graveside services to be
held at Antioch Church Cemetery, LaFayette, Ala., at a
date and time to be announced later.
Hollon, a native of Chambers County, Ala., was pre
ceded in death by her husband, Gehue C. Hollon; par
ents, Kirven and Ola Lovelace; and brother, Sherwood
Lovelace.
Survivors include daughter, Barbara (Hollon) Head,
Centerville; brother, Paul Lovelace, Columbus; sister,
Anna Enfinger, Tallahassee, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and
a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American
Cancer Society will be honored.

MAE L. TACKETT
GRAY - On April 27, 2005, the Lord has given Mae vic
tory and rest after her two-year battle with pancreatic
cancer. The home-going celebration included visitation
from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bridges Funeral Home in
Gray. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30,
2005, at Elam Baptist Church with burial at Cedar Ridge
Cemetery in Gray. The Rev. Gary Thomas and the Rev.
Grady Mimbs will officiate.
The daughter of the late J.J. Livingston and Willie
Crenshaw Livingston, Tackett was born in Pitts and had
lived in Gray for the past 34 years. After graduating
high school in Pitts, Mae was employed by the
Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. She
returned to Georgia and worked at Robins Air Force
Base and later owned and operated Mae’s Ceramics in
Jones County, where she met and influenced many peo
ple through her art and skills until her retirement in
1986. Mae was a beloved member of Elam Baptist
Church, and of the Faith Sunday school class. She leaves
a legacy of Christian love and a desire to see the love of
Jesus Christ shared to all people. She will be greatly
missed by her family and friends. Mae was preceded in
death by a son, Johnny L. Stewart.
Mae is survived by her husband, Evert W. Tackett of
Gray; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Willene Stewart
of Gray; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Jette
Frazier and Edwinna and Keith Miller, all of Gray;
daughter-in-law, Ellen Stewart of Gray; brothers,
Earnest Livingston and Homer Livingston, both of
Warner Robins; sisters, Audrey Pettis of Washington,
D.C., and Addie Coleman of Pitts; and by eight grand
children; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.
The family has asked that memorial donations be
made to Pan Can, 2221 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 131, El
Segundo, CA 90245. More information will be available
at the funeral home and church.
The family may be contacted at the residence at 261
Deer Creek Circle in Gray.
