Bidders are cautioned that acqui
sition of bidding documents through
any source other than the office of
the Architect is not advisable.
Acquisition of bidding documents
from unauthorized sources places
the bidder at risk of receiving incom
plete or inaccurate information upon
which to base his proposal. No par
tial sets will be issued.
There will be 4 a Pre-Bid
Conference held on Thursday, May
5, 2005, at 9:00 PM at the Kings
Chapel Elementary School, Perry,
Georgia. Attendance at this confer
ence is MANDATORY for all prequal
ified general contractors intending to
bid on this project. Others may
attend if they so desire.
Application for bidding docu
ments, together with deposit of two
hundred dollars ($200.00) per set,
should be filed promptly with the
Architect. Bidding material will be for
warded as soon as possible. The full
amount of the deposit, less shipping
charges, will be refunded to each
general contractor who submits a
bona fide bid upon return of such set
in good condition within ten (10) days
after date of opening of bids.
All other deposits will be refunded
with deductions approximating the
cost of reproduction of documents
equal to one hundred dollars
($100.00), plus shipping and han
dling upon return of same in good
condition within ten (10) days after
date of opening of bids.
Contract, if awarded, will be on a
lump sum basis of the base bid to the
lowest responsible and qualified bid
der. No bid may be withdrawn for a
period of 60 days after time has been
called on the date of opening. Bids
must be accompanied by a bid bond
in an amount not less than 5% of the
base bid. Both a performance bond
and a payment bond will be required
in an amount equal to 100% of the
contract price.
The Owner reserves the right to
reject any or all bids and to waive
technicalities and formalities.
