Georgia Fire Equipment Show

ing demonstrations of advanced
equipment, accessories, and
static displays. This 2005 fire
show will feature more than 40
exhibitors, ranging from heavy
equipment and helicopters to
safety exhibits. Ticket prices are

Allen, a native of Ringgold, was the son of the late Ross
and Flora Lee Farlett Allen. He was retired from the U.S.
Air Force and Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of
the NCO Club, where he enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include his children, Mary Lee Hancox and
Pamela Adriana Allen, both of Warner Robins, and Ross
LaVon Allen of Centerville; siblings, Bertie Mae Orr,
Loraine Crook, Faye Ware, Ross Allen, Richard Andrew
Allen; grandchildren, Ashleigh Hodges, Aaron Allen, Chuck
Hancox, Gabby Allen, Haley Platt, Carissa Allen, Kori Allen
and Zaina Allen; and great-grandchild, Landon Hill.
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrange
ments.
HENRY ARNOLD
PERRY - Henry Arnold, 88, died on
Saturday, May 21. 2005. Graveside services '4^s
were held at Perry Memorial Gardens at 11 '
a.m. Monday. Visitation was 4-6 p.m. %
Sunday at the Funeral Home. Hifc
Arnold, born on July 16, 1916, in Dooly
County was the son of the late William ‘ ,i
Thomas and Myrtice Henry Arnold. A resi- Jfm
dent of Houston County since 1925, he was
a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church
since 1933 when it was Houston Factory. During his long
life, he previously had worked at Penn-Dixie, farmed on
Sam Nunn Sr.’s farm, was owner of the Neighborhood
Service Station, drove delivery truck for Amoco Gas
Dealership and was employed by the Dairy Association of
Georgia. For 20 years, he was a Snapper Lawn Mower deal
er and ran a repair shop until he was 81 years old. Arnold
was a former member of the Perry Lions Club and was a
volunteer fireman of 33 years.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Susie Britt Arnold;
son, Thomas Arnold (Shelby); daughter, Beth Pennington;
daughter-in-law, Sylvia Arnold; 12 grandchildren, 26 great
grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by a son Francis Arnold; brothers,
John, Cap, and Jack; sister, Litha Mae Britt. The family
requests contributions to the Houston Lake Baptist Church
Building Fund, 2300 Ga. 127 East, Perry, GA 31069. The
family may be contacted at 1211 Sunset Ave., Perry.

WALTER PATRICK ENGLISH JR.
WOODSTOCK - Walter Patrick English Jr., 22, of
Woodstock died Thursday, May 19, 2005.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005
(TODAY) at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel, with the
Rev. Wesley Horn officiating. Graveside services will be at 5
p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry. The family
received friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Bom in Warner Robins on Jan. 21, 1983, English’s fami
ly moved to Woodstock in 1984, where he lived for the rest
of his life. He was employed at the Roadhouse Grill.
Survivors include his father, Walter Patrick English Sr. of
Aragon; mother, Donna Bryant of Woodstock; sisters,
Amanda Nivens of St. Augustine, Fla., and Stacie English of
Perry; brother, Scott Livingston of Smyrna; paternal grand
parents, Sam and Christine English of Bonaire; maternal
grandmother, Virginia Bryant of Perry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be
made to a charity in memory of Patrick.
Woodstock Funeral Home, (770) 926-3107, has charge of
arrangements.
CARRIE “PAT” HALE LONES RODRIGUEZ
PERRY - Carrie “Pat” Hale Lones Rodriguez, 78 died at
her residence on Friday, May 20, 2005. Funeral Services
were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Watson-Hunt with interment
to follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation was 6:30-
8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rodriquez was born in Pyramid, Ky., and had lived in
Perry since 1963. She was a retired ER tech at the Perry
Houston County Hospital and a member of the Second
Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Lones and Shiela
Sweitzer, both of Perry; son, Terry Lones of Perry; sisters,
Rhoda Sweeney of Lima, Ohio, and Eva Chaffins of Van
Lear, Ky.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roberto
Rodriguez Sr. and Harold B. Lones, and a son, Harold
Lones. The family suggests contributions to Hospice of
Houston County.
