Knights honor public
safety personnel

The Knights of Columbus
recently honored local pub
lic safety personnel.
Warner Robins firefighter
Jeffery Anderson was
named Firefighter of the
Year and honored in a cere
mony at the Officers Club
on Robins Air Force Base.
“Anderson does a lot for
the department,” said Chief
Robert Singletary.
The annual award is pre
sented to several public safe
ty officers, Singletary said,
and is chosen from nomina
tions by peers, co-workers or
supervisors.
“He’s gone through the
320-hour Georgia Search
and Rescue training now,
the second and third times
as an instructor,” Singletary
said.
Anderson is an EMT,
Singletary said, “and con
stantly wants to improve his
training.”
He does a lot for the
department off duty as well,

regular club meeting recently. He provided information
on various programs and projects through the University
of Georgia Extension Service.
