Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 (TODAY), at the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with interment following at 2 p.m. in Marietta National Cemetery. Hale was born June 10, 1921, in Bishopville, S.C., to the late Henry and Nicie Stokes. She was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army where she served as a registered nurse. Hale was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warner Robins. In addition to her parents, her son, Allie Dave Hale, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Lt. Col. Drew Pratt Hale (Ret.) of Bonaire; children, Drew B. Ludwig was born in Avis, Pa., to the late Jacob F. and Thelma Stabley Ludwig. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife,' Adelina E. Ludwig of Columbus; son, Jacob L. Ludwig of Warner Robins; daugh ters, Mary Minick of Atlanta, Elisabeth E. Edge of Ellijay and Cathy L. Brenner of Byron; brother, Dean Ludwig of Jersey Shore, Pa.; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles Shipes of Haynesville; daughter, Connie Jackson; sons, Johnnie and Donnie Shipes all of Haynesville; grandchil dren, Jamie Shipes, Danielle Jackson, Natasha Reitz and Ella Shipes.
