Baseball camp
Perry High School's baseball staff held a camp for young
sters this week at the school. According to one coach, it
was easier to say what they "didn't" team than what they
did. Children were taught all the fundamentals, he said,
except pitching and catching, mainly he added, because
the majority of attendees typically played at the "coach
pitch" level.

fines can be levied against
offenders, there is no in-game
penalty for one technical.
In light of players such
as Rasheed Wallace, who
tends to pick up a technical
foul in nearly every playoff
game he plays, I think the
rule should be changed to
the way high schools han
dle technical fouls.
In a high school game,
a technical foul not only
results in two free throws
and possession of the ball
for the opposing team but
also counts as a personal
foul for the offender.
