will host its first Homebuyers’

lenders, budgeting and saving
tips. FVSU’s Mobile Information

dren about fire safety in the

OBITUARY
DOROTHY M. (DOTTIE) FISHER
WARNER ROBINS - Dorothy M. Fisher, 79, passed away
on Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Elberta Health Care.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18,
2005, in Magnolia Park Cemetery South. Visitation will be
from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2005, at McCullough
Funeral Home.
Fisher was born in Kansas City, Mo. She moved to
Centerville in 1975, where she spent most of her life. She
was a member of Andrews United Methodist Church. Her
husband, Hayward J. Fisher, and son, Edward Fisher, pre
ceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Fisher of
Warner Robins; son, James Boxberger of Daytona, Fla.;
brother, Kenneth Murphy of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchil
dren, Jodi Fisher (Master Sgt. Rick Johnson), Robert
Gallaway, Dave Fisher; great-grandchild, R.J Johnson.

Democratic women

Guy Drexinger, candidate for state insurance commis
sioner, spoke recently to The Middle Georgia Democratic
Women’s Club. Drexinger is the former chairman of the
Cobb County Democrats and former treasurer of the
Democratic Association of County Chairs. He currently is
an attorney and accountant in Marietta, and is married
with one daughter. Drexinger spoke about the impor
tance of having a good understanding of grassroots
campaigning and various ways to make that type of cam
paigning successful. He also spoke about his candidacy,
and gave statistics regarding Georgia insurance premi
ums vs. other states, and how he would like to streamline
the state insurance office.
