Year in review
right on time
I recently heard some
one give a speech
directed at college
age people. In addition to
his main point (“Please
make a donation”), one
thing he brought up was
that college is the time
when you have to real
ize that the world does
not revolve around you,
and that you are not the
most important thing in
the world.
With that thought in
mind, it’s time for the
third annual In the Nick
of Time Year in Review
column. This is a tradition
I dreamed up two years
ago for a variety of rea
sons.
For one thing, I really
like doing year-in-review
type stuff. However, just

consistency was a contrast
to his opening 18, a two
under 69. In that round
he had six birdies, but also
two bogeys and a double
bogey.
Jones followed his open
ing 67 with an even-par 71,
carding two bogeys on his
opening nine but evening
it up with birdies on the
back.
Also, while this tour
nament is going on,
another Georgia State
Golf Association even,
the Georgia Girls
Championship, is being
held in Marietta. No local
golfers are listed as playing
in that venue, however.
Defending champion
Jennifer Adyorough of
Atlanta matched her first
round total of 74 to give
her a 148 for the tourna
ment and currently leads
by five strokes heading
into the final day of play.
