OBITUARIES
KEVIN SHANE GAMMAGE
WARNER ROBINS - Kevin Shane Gammage, 41, of
Warner Robins, died Monday, July 4, 2005. Funeral servic
es will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (TODAY) in the chapel
of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in
Parkway Memorial Gardens. Dr. H. Owen Bozeman will
officiate.
Gammage, a lifelong resident of Warner Robins, was the
son of the late Jim Gammage. He was employed at Robins
Air Force Base. He was also a graduate of Warner Robins
High School and attended Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Teresa Segars Gammage of
Warner Robins; children, Brandon Gammage and Miranda
Gammage, both of Warner Robins; mother, Sandra
Gammage of Warner Robins.
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrange
ments.
ARTHUR SHIERLING
WARNER ROBINS - Arthur Shierling, 92,
passed away on Monday, July 4, 2005, at
Houston Medical Center. Services will be held
at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at First Baptist
Church Centerville, with interment following
in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7
until 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at McCullough Funeral
Home.
Shierling was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Talladega, Ala., to
the late Johnny and Lanie Shierling. After 20 years of serv
ice, he retired from General Motors in LaGrange, 111.,
where he worked as an electrician in the Electro Motors
Division. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World
War 11. Shierling was a member of First Baptist Church
Centerville. In addition to his parents, his wife, Christine
DeLaney Shierling, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Billy G. Shierling of
Centerville, Dan Shierling Jr. of Homosassa, Fla., and
Johnny Wayne Shierling of Palm Coast, Fla.; daughter,
Brenda Morgan of Warner Robins; 12 grandchildren; 21
great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

America this year. Northside Elementary School county
contest winners were Jennifer Carta, system first-place
winner for first grade, and Lyndsey Shelton, system first
place winner for fifth grade. Yvette Andrews of Bert
Rumble Middle School coordinated the system event.
Isakson joins Senate 4-H Caucus

has joined a Senate organi
zation that promotes the 4-
H program, a youth organi
zation promoting leadership
among rural, urban and
suburban youth from every
state in the nation.
“The 4-H program gives
our youth the skills they
need to succeed through fun
and engaging programs,”
Isakson said. “I am pleased
to join a Senate organization
that recognizes the value of
4-H in developing leaders in
our communities.”

4-H reflects the needs and
interests of communities
across the nation.
The Senate 4-H Caucus
will serve as an advocate for
4-H and will directly sup
port the 4-H Youth in
Governance Initiative. This
initiative helps provide
greater understanding of
the democratic process.
Senate support for this
effort is an important oppor
tunity to encourage and
mentor tomorrow’s leaders.
