Horton to seek re-election

Warner Robins Councilman and
Mayor Pro Tern Terry Horton has offi
cially announced his candidacy for re
election.
Horton, who has served on council
since 1993, represents Post 3, which is
bounded on the north by Watson
Boulevard, the south by Ga. 96, the
west by Ga. 247 and the east by
Briarcliff Road.
Horton and his wife Barbara moved
to Warner Robins in 1964, after his

Laura Whipple Neeld is a survivor -
literally.
She is a former nurse and breast
cancer survivor who is determined to
do more than survive - much more.
“I was one of those women who took
care of herself,” she said. “I got a mam
mogram every year and thought I was

wife had moved to Warner Robins in
1943, and her father L.V Osigian
served on the council. Horton has been
in several businesses over the years,
from retail to real estate. He is cur
rently the managing partner of
Houston Mall.
He and Barbara have two sons -
Brett and Reed - and three grandchil
dren.
“I am grateful for the wonderful
opportunity that Warner Robins has
of Houston County’s 34 schools met
the state accountability standards
as part of the No Child Left Behind
law.
