National wins state
The Ponytail All-Stars from Perry Junior League and those
from Warner Robins National League squared off Tuesday at
Ochlahatchee Park in Perry in the finals of the Dixie softball
state tournament. PJL entered the tournament champion
ship undefeated which meant WRNL had to beat them twice
to capture the title. They did. WRNL broke open a 1-0 game
- PJL stranded four runners in scoring position in its first two
innings at bat - with a four-run fourth. They went on to win
5-0. Then in the nightcap, WRNL cruised to a 12-2 win.
