CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Samantha
“Sam” Elmore, 23, of Charlotte, N.C.,
died July 12, 2005, at Carolinas Medical
Center - Mercy.
Sam, as she was lovingly known, was
bom June 18, 1982, in Roanoke, Va.,
daughter of Gary Elmore and Judith
Hammock Elmore. She was a 2000
graduate of East Mecklenburg High
School and was currently enrolled at
Central Piedmont Community College
in the nursing program.
A service to celebrate the life of Samantha “Sam” Elmore
will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2005 (TODAY), at
McEwen Charlotte Chapel, 727 E. Morehead St. The family
will greet friends from 5 until 7 p.m. in the chapel.
Samantha is survived by her mother, Judith Peoples of
Fairfax, Va., and father, Gary Elmore of Atlanta; a sister,
Sarah Michelle Clark and grandmother, Mrs. Theresa
Hammock of Perry.

Thompson, 68, passed away on Tuesday.
July 12, 2005, at the Medical Center of
Central Georgia. Memorial services will
be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 14,
2005, at McCullough Funeral Home.
Johnny was born in West Virginia. He
was of the Baptist faith and retired from
Anchor Glass as a machine operator. He
also was a member of the Local Union
234 GPAC. His parents, Walter A.
Thompson and Helen L. Thompson
Hammock, preceded him in death.
