Panthers take fast-track approach to training
By DON MONCRIEF

Want to see Perry’s foot
ball team in action? Want to
see it again?
Welcome to the Panthers’
football practice. Last year
it was intense but, “The
biggest thing was we just
kind of went to our posi
tion group,” said head coach
Andy Scott, “not necessarily
through fundamentals.”
Not this year. Blink and
you’ll miss something.
“We’re trying to make
it up-tempo,” Scott said.
“Fast and quick. We get all
the work out of them and
send them home. We’re not
trying to run a marathon
'We're trying to make it up-tempo. Fast

them and send them home.'

The scene unfolds as fol
lows: First the team does
a short bit of stretching on
their own, with emphasis on
“short” because Scott is not

“I’ve always heard you

From coast-to-coast;
