The Aug. 16 Houston County
Grand Jury, in the name of the
citizens of Georgia, charge and
accuse the following suspects
with actions contrary to the laws
of the state, the good order,
peace and dignity thereof. The
individuals below have been
accused and charged but not
found guilty or not guilty of the
crimes.
• Timothy Bryant, 34, 132
Ignico Drive, Warner Robins,
was indicted on charges of rob
bery (armed), possession of a
firearm during a crime and pos
session of a firearm by a con
victed felon, for taking the wallet
of another by use of a firearm,
unlawfully possessing or having
within arm's reach a firearm dur
ing commission of a felony and
possessing a firearm after hav
ing been previously convicted,on
or about Aug. 3.
• James Edward Buchanan
Jr., 51, 106 Young Ave., Warner
Robins, was indicted on charges
of theft by taking of a motor vehi
cle, theft by deception, forgery
and giving false name address
or date of birth, for unlawfully
taking the 1983 Ford Ranger of
another with intention of depriv
ing owner of said property,
obtaining SIOO from another by
deceitful means or an artful
practice by selling the truck to
him when he did have such
authority, signing the owner's
name on a bill of sale without his
consent and giving the owner’s
name and date of birth as his
own to police with intent to mis
lead the officer, on or about July
2.
• Keith Robert Collins, 47,
Nempton, Fla., was indicted on
charge of enticing a child for
indecent purposes, for taking the
victim, a child under 16 years of
age, to the Masters Inn for the
purpose of child molestation and
having vaginal intercourse with
her on or about April 1, 2004.
• Hector Conego, 23, 124
Dixie Trail, Warner Robins, was
indicted on charges of aggravat
ed assault, terroristic threats and
acts and battery (simple), for
making an assault on the victim
with a meat cleaver, holding the
weapon against the victim's
throat, threatening the victim to
do “as he pleases” to him while
Police still searching for runaway robber

Detectives in Perry and
Warner Robins are still following
leads in their search for an
unidentified man wanted for a
string of robberies in both
Warner Robins and Perry last
Thursday.
Maj. Harry Dennard with the
Warner Robins Police
Department said that detectives
from both cities are still trying to
identify the man seen on securi
ty tape from the Perry Video
Warehouse on Ball Street.
According to police, the
unidentified black man was
between the ages of 19 and 25,
weighing 180-200 lbs., and was
seen in the video carry a large
black duffel bag filled with cash.
At the time of the robberies in
Perry, the man was wearing a
white T-shirt, dark shorts and
white tennis shoes.
The robber first struck the
Service Loan & Tax at 105 North
Davis Drive at around 4:24 p.m.
Thursday afternoon, then hit the
E-Z Title Pawn at 1755 Watson
Blvd., and the Ace Title Pawn at
1716 Watson Blvd. around 5:30
p.m. The two robberies in Perry
occurred within minutes of each
other shortly after 7 p.m.
Perry Police Capt. Bill Phelps
said the man stole an undis
closed amount of cash from the
store, punched a female clerk in
the face and touched her groin
during the incident. According to
police, the robbery was wit
nessed by a 3-year-old boy.

Video Warehouse shows the
man forcing two female clerks to
lie down behind the counter
before emptying cash tills
around 7:19 p.m. Phelps said
the man also stole one of the
video store clerk’s purse. Police
believe that the suspect used a
handgun, possibly a revolver,
during the incidents.

Rebecca Lundman, 28, 104
Michele Terrace, Warner
Robins, came to Perry Police
with an interesting story.
According to Capt. Bill Phelps,
Lundman told police she was
kidnapped from the Wal-Mart
Supercenter on Watson
Boulevard in Warner Robins on
the morning of July 26. Lundman
told police an unidentified man
forced her to drive to Redmond
Park on James Street in Perry.
Phelps said the woman went on
to say the man raped and
brandishing the meat cleaver,
and intentionally making physi
cal contact with the victim by
striking him on the head, on or
about July 3.
• Michael Shawn Crabb, 34,
2011 Irby Road. Fort Valley, was
indicted on a charge of burglary,
for intentionally, unlawfully and
without authority entering the
dwelling of another in Centerville
with intent to commit a theft
therein, on or about April 4.
• William Eugene Davis, 27,
Macon, was indicted on a
charge of burglary, for entering
the dwelling of another in
Kathleen, without authority and
with intent to commit a theft or
felony therein, on or about July
21.
• Brandon Tavarus Driskell,
20, 135 Ignico Drive, Apt. 230 D,
Warner Robins, was indicted on
charges of aggravated assault
and possession of a firearm or
knife during commission of a
crime, for unlawfully making an
assault on the victim with a
firearm, firing a handgun at said
victim, striking him in left fore
arm, and unlawfully possessing
the firearm during commission of
the felony, on or about July 6.
• Jeremy Neil Huckeba, 37,
Gordon, was indicted on charge
of criminal damage to property
(second degree), for intentional
ly damaging a Dish Network
satellite dish, a vehicle tire and a
stool, with a total estimated
value in excess of SBSO, the
property of another, without their
consent, on or about Oct. 15,
2004.
• Jaylon Star Judd, 17, 100
Alpine Valley Drive, Perry, was
indicted on a charge of kidnap
ping with bodily injury, for
abducting or stealing away the
victim, holding him against his
will and causing him to receive
bodily injury (bruises to his face)
on or about June 30.
• Charles Barry Pope Jr., 31,
265 Hunt Road, Kathleen, was
indicted on charges of criminal
damage to property (second
degree) and criminal attempt to
commit theft by taking, for inten
tionally damaging an ATM at
Robins Federal Credit Union
causing more than SSOO dam
age, and attempting to take U S.
currency from the credit union by
prying the exterior of the ATM,

tioning, detectives discovered
that the details of her story didn't
match up, and she was charged
with giving a false report of a
crime.

Police were called to Crazy J's
Liquor Store on Courtney
Hodges Boulevard shortly
before 9 p.m. Aug. 11.
Christopher Eugene Murrell, 35,
of 2216 Macy Avenue in Perry,
was walking around inside, and
police were called to the scene.
Clerks reportedly suspected
Murrell was shoplifting, but when
the police searched him, they
found a small bag with a green,
leafy substance inside. He was
charged with possession of mar
ijuana-less than 1 ounce.

A 14-year-old Fort Valley girl
was arrested at the Perry Wal-
Mart Thursday after she alleged
ly stole a set of earrings and a
set of plastic wristbands.
Security at the store took the
young girl into custody. Phelps
said the girl did not try to run.
Daddy's asleep
Perry Police responded to a
call shortly after 1 p.m. Aug. 11
from a man on Keith Drive who
said that he saw a 3-year-old
child standing on a nearby front
porch with no adult supervision.
The man thought the child had
been left home alone, but police
found the child’s father asleep at
the back of the house.
Apparently, the child’s mother
didn’t let her husband know she
was leaving for work.
PD finds "pot" pot
While searching for a vehicle
stolen from Perry High School,
police drove through the parking
lot of an apartment complex at
1217 Kings Chapel Road and
found something they weren’t
exactly looking for. Police dis
covered a planter full of at least
six small marijuana plants sitting
behind one of the apartments.
Police arrested two people,
whose names were not
released.

Pope was also indicted on
charges of financial transaction
card fraud, for unlawfully and
with intent to defraud a financial
transaction card issuer or any
other person issuing a
Mastercard to obtain money,
goods, service or anything of
value without the permission of
the cardholder, on or about July
8.
Pope was further indicted on a
charge of burglary, for intention
ally, unlawfully and without
authority entering the Perry busi
ness of the victim with intent to
commit a theft therein,on or
about July 7.
•Vernon Samuel Sellers, 31,
211 Whellus St., Kathleen, was
indicted on charges of kidnap
ping with bodily injury, rape,
aggravated sexual battery,
aggravated assault and burglary,
for abducting the victim, holding
her against her will and causing
her to receive bodily injury
(bruising and abrasions), having
carnal knowledge of her forcibly
and against her will, making an
assault on her with a knife, and
unlawfully and without authority
entering her house with intent to
commit therein a felony, the
crime of rape, on or about March
3.
• Kimberly Renee Stanley,
25, Macon, was indicted on
charges of aggravated assault,
criminal damage to property
(second degree), battery (family
violence), possession of a knife
during a crime and cruelty to
children, for making an unlawful
assault on the victim with a knife,
intentionally damaging a bed
room window and walls of the
victim's residence by kicking
holes in the walls causing dam
age in excess of SSOO, unlawful
ly causing visible harm to the
victim by striking him resulting in
redness and scratches, unlaw
fully possession a knife having a
blade of three inches or more
during the commission of the
felony aggravated assault and
committing a forcible felony
while having knowledge a child
under age 18 was present to see
or hear the act, on or about Aug.

Witnesses saw an unidentified
man run from the scene of an
accident at the intersection of
Davis Avenue and Houston Lake
Road shortly before 12:30 p.m.
Aug. 11. Police searched the red
1971 Chevelle and discovered
that the car had been hotwired
and stolen from the parking lot of
Perry High School. The Chevelle
was apparently a student's vehi
cle. Anyone with information
regarding this incident is asked
to call the Perry Police
Department at (478) 988-2800.

Police found a stolen blue
1989 Mercury Marquis with a
license plate from Everett,
Wash., parked in the parking lot
of the Perry Wal-Mart Aug. 11.
The vehicle was reported stolen.
Police have not identified the
owner.
Gotcha!
Trey Green, 22, of 1339 W.F.
Ragin Drive, Perry, ran through
a house shortly before 5 p.m.
Aug. 10. As Green shot out the
back door, he was surprised to
see officers waiting for him.
Police reportedly seized a bag of
marijuana he dropped in the
house while trying to escape. He
was arrested for possession of
marijuana and for a prior warrant
for violating probation.

Perry Police arrested two
women and a juvenile at the
Beall’s store on Sam Nunn
Boulevard Aug. 10. Angela
Barrett, 38, of 405 Gordy Street,
Perry,’ along with Trey Jackson,
35, of 4224 West Oak Drive,
Macon, and an unidentified juve
nile, were arrested after they
were reportedly seen stuffing
negfigees, underwear, and chil
dren’s pants and shirts into one
of the ladies' purses. The three
suspects were charged with
shoplifting.
