I allowed him to call my
mother.
“Ma, did you hear the loud
boom? It was at our house!”
Since the storm had died
down, my husband took a
walk around outside and
saw no damage until he got
to the end of the driveway,
where he saw a large chunk
taken out of the power pole
and several blown parts of
the line that siphons power
to our house.
Before long help arrived,
and in a very short amount
of time we had power again.
The lights came on with a
flash and seemed brighter
than usual.
Everything was in work
ing order. My son enjoyed
going around and blowing
out all of the candles, then
quickly settled down and
went to sleep.
