meeting at 7 p.m. in the commis
sioners’ boardroom at the
Houston County Courthouse
Annex. Invitations have been

Tolleson and Rep. Alan
Freeman. The town hall meeting
will include legislative reports by
those lawmakers in attendance
on the 2005 session, as well as
an outline of each's legislative
agenda for 2006. The meeting
will close with a question-and

ELIZABETH ANN “BETTY” CARTER
WARNER ROBINS - Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Carter, 75,
died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005. A funeral mass will be cele
brated at 10 a.m. Friday (TODAY) at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Father Fred Nijem will officiate.
Carter, a native of Long Beach, N.Y., was the daughter of
the late Thomas and Mary Ellen Courtney Moriarty. She
was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Brantley Carter of
Warner Robins; daughters, Maureen Graves of Macon,
Theresa Carter, RSM of Baltimore, Md., Trish Carter of
Lawrenceville, Kathy Eckard of Atlanta, Brenda Adams of
Woodstock; sisters, Maureen McNamara and Pat Murphy
both of New York; grandchildren: Kyle Graves, Kathleen
Graves, Benton Graves, Hali Eckard, Ryan Eckard, and
Maggi Adams.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church Building Fund, 250 S. Davis Drive, Warner
Robins, GA 31088.
A Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home followed by a time of visitation until 9 p.m.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrange
ments.
KATHERINE GARBERSON
WARNER ROBINS - Katherine Garberson, 7, passed
away Monday, Sept. 5, 2005. Funeral services will be held at
10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene in Warner
Robins. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The
Rev. David Miller will officiate.
Katherine was a resident of Warner Robins, where she
attended the Church of the Nazarene and Miller
Elementary School.
Survivors include Cheryl Peacock, Katie Manning, Jack
and Virginia Atchison and Timothy Atchison.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday
(TODAY) at the funeral home.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrange
ments.
JASON G. JORDAN
Jason G. Jordan, 32, of 4109 Hunting Drive, Hermitage,
Tenn., and formerly of Scottsville, Ky., died Sunday, Sept. 4,
2005, at the Summit Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The Allen County, Ky., native was a former employee of
Testamerica, a member of the Western Kentucky University
Alumni Association and attended Trevecca Community
Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife,
Michelle Peacock Jordan of Hermitage, Tenn.; parents,
Glen and Edwina Jordan of Scottsville, Ky.; sister, Sabriana
Lonas and husband Clint of Scottsville, Ky.; niece, Allison
Daye Lonas, and nephew, Carter Isaiah Lonas, both of
Scottsville, Ky.; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Ballard of
Scottsville, Ky.; maternal grandfather, Edwin Ballard of
Adolphus, Ky.; father-in-law; Mike Peacock and wife,
Donella of Dublin; mother-in-law, Wanda Hebert and hus
band, Ro Bear of Warner Robins; brother-in-law, Justin
Peacock of Warner Robins; sister-in-law, Jordan Leigh
Peacock of Dublin; maternal grandfather-in-law, Ben
Harvill Sr., and paternal grandparents-in-law, L.C. and
Brenda Peacock, all of Dublin; several uncles, aunts and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,
Rusty and Christine Jordan.
Funeral services for Jason G. Jordan were held
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at Goad Funeral Home with Bro.
Elvis Farley and Bro. Clarence Haddix officiating, followed
by burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was
held Tuesday at noon at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of
flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of
donations to the American Red Cross for Katrina relief.
