Stanford rolls past N.C. State; Georgia, Tech win

Minaker had five hits, two
RBIs and scored six runs,
and Michael Taylor added
a two-run homer to lead
Stanford to a 17-7 victory
over North Carolina State
in the Austin Regional and
advance to the super region
al for the sixth time.
Stanford (33-25), which led
11-7 before a six-run ninth
inning sealed its victory. The
Cardinal had a season-high
24 hits and 17 runs. Austin
Yount (4-0) earned the win
for Stanford giving up only
two runs on one hit in 3 1-3
innings.
North Carolina State 6. Texas 3
