July wedding
Eugene Cason of Vienna and Dawn Cason of Cordele
announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Brooke
Cason, to Philip Cecil Gentry Jr., son of Phil and Brenda
Gentry of Perry. The wedding will be at 6 p.m. on July 1 in
First Baptist Church of Perry. All friends and relatives of the
couple are invited to attend.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Don Mathis and
the late Shirley Mathis of Cordele, and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Bobby Cason. A 2001 graduate of Fullington Academy, she
will attend Macon State College to major in early childhood
education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Helen Ransom of
Bvron, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ransom of Unadilla and Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Gentry of Perry. He is a 2001 graduate of Perry
High School, and a graduate of the University of Georgia
with a degree in agriculture education. He is an agriculture
teacher at Perry High School.

40th anniversary
Earnest E. “Butch” Skinner and his wife, Fronzie, will
celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 25 with a
family dinner in Macon and a pool party in Perry.
They were married at the First Baptist Church of Perry
on June 25, 1966.
They have four children, Amy Beamon of Marshallville,
Christy Thomas and Eric Skinner of Perry, and Nathan
Skinner of Pooler. They also have three grandchildren.

Painters celebrate
50th anniversary
Cynthia and Reed Painter of Fort Valley, formerly of
Warner Robins, are celebrating their 50th anniversary on
June 15. They are both retired from the U.S. Air Force.
The Painters, who were married on June 15, 1956 in Palm
Beach Fla., have six children: Lori Gentry, Reed O. Painter
II and Catherine Painter, all of Fort Valley; Sandra Gentry
of Warner Robins. Rebecca Painter of Byron and Cheryl
Painter of Milledgeville.
They have six grandchildren: David, Jon and Melissa
Gentry, Reed O. Painter, Garrett Painter and Dalton
Gentry.
