Wellness center offers fitness boot camp Special to the HHJ The Cantrell Wellness Center is currently accepting registration for its Summer Boot Camp. Individuals interested in achieving fitness or weight loss goals are encouraged to register for this exclusive training program. The camp offers personal ized health and fitness train ing in a small group setting and is designed to achieve measurable results for each participant. Training begins July 17 Airman graduates from basic Special to the HHJ Air Force Airman Joseph C. Barker has graduated from basic military train ing at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, Barker stud ied the Air Force mission, organization, and mili tary customs and courte sies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and WR student earns Peace Award Special the HHJ Georgia Southern University recently awarded Tylor Palumbo of Warner Robins a $2,000 Karl E. Peace Award for Excellence and Scholarship. Established in 1996 to rec ognize potential excellence in academics and character of students, the Karl E. Peace Award for Excellence and Scholarship is offered to out standing high school gradu ates who have been accepted as traditional freshmen at Georgia Southern. Classroom instruction will include an overall discus sion of the police department, hiring process, communica tions, use of force, firearms, investigations, and crime scene processing.
